I'll be heading to melbourne toward the middle of the year to eat, drink, shop, chill.
what areas would you guys recommend i look for accomodation? near public transport might help, but isnt vital.
Ivans on High visited Melbourne a couple weeks ago, this was his accommodation post, hope it helps.
I ended up booking the Hotel Windsor, they had a pretty good deal on and its nice and close to some good shopping. Looking forward to hitting up the Melbourne supermap.0 -

Great jacket, I can see it being incredibly versatile. Love the charcoal colour.Followed by...
If I see somebody on the street wearing Julius clothes with anything other than black or a very dark shade of grey I will spit on them IRL:confused::confused::confused: did you forget to log out Daaave and log in as Chuckie or what?:confused::confused:

Had a feeling it might be a just a bit loose for me, 26.5cm x 10cm foot here. 29.5cm outsole would be what, 28.5cm insole in these?

Any of you guys here going after this? It looks mighty tempting to me T_T

ditto, I sized up on the heattech basics though as I didn't want them to fit like undershirts haha.
But they're undershirts! I swear I thought Uniqlo didn't have them on the webstore until I found them in the innerwear section

Generally I find that Uniqlo fits consistently the way they want it to fit, for example how they state that L sizes are for guys with 96~104cm chests.

Balls didn't notice they were discounted till the 7th. How much are they normally? I might buy them now instead of waiting for my friend to get back from Japan.
Also, you use FJ instead of SSJ right?

Shows you how little I know about dressing for the weather being from KL The only barometer I had there was "Does this make me sweat more than usual?" I try to steal inspiration from Sam for summer stuff.
Jes championed the +J l/s and I have a friend going to the region for work in May, so I'm definitely in the market for Uniqlo basics. Those slim fit crew neck tees look good as well and look like they'd work best as a first layer in the colder months due to fit and material.
Julius FW10: agreed with how the western market would welcome the collection with regards to the new cut. Also I feel the new rider and cowl/drape necks will represent an opportunity for those that rarely purchase Julius items to pick one up, kind of like the FW09 rider in red. That might be a good or bad thing (I might be off-base here) because from observation it seemed to me that two items from FW09 tend to appear on supermarket/classifieds less than 4 months after release: the red rider and the tall combat boots. Right now I feel the same vibes coming from some of the more anticipated FW10 pieces.
No issues with the paneled construction and design (I like it best on the wide neck leather and the rider, not as much on the cowl neck) and it's great that a bit of savings are passed down to the consumer.

Thanks for the input, I feel better about passing on them The seams didn't bother me since I wanted black and they're for layering but I agree that they looked really weird on the raw color. Probably give the coming cotton/cashmere l/s or +J l/s a try then. When it's warm here I find myself sweating in the cotton jersey l/s from FW09 sometimes I've one from Silent arriving next week or so that cost me like 70 bucks, not like I'd be able to find more at the same price point ever.
Yeah that leather caught my eye as well. Gonna be interesting to see how people react to the FW10 leathers as they have something that appeals to everyone. Red rider, cowl/drape neck, clean classic leather all for lower than previous seasons.

Yeah, I really liked the rider + Ann D sweater pairing on CHRIS.
Is Dress-Japan liquidating all their Julius stock or what? I was tempted to get some of the ribbed 80% cotton/20% silk basics at 30% off but I don't think I'd fit into a size 2 for those, so passed on it. Ever owned them Damien? Best material for spring/summer or do you nominate some other blend?
Reather: just look forward to the rest of 2010 Who knows, CCP might end up surprising you.

Can't be too obvious now
I swear I have that fucking song playing on repeat within my head every damn time I find something good on Y! auctions.

^ Seconded, I wish Sydney had a store that has even half the retail experience EM's staff offers.

Is there a particular online shop whose measurements you've found to be pretty spot-on? If anything is going to cockblock your purchase of that leather jacket it would be how they fit this coming season anyway.

thanks Nick.
still a matter of whether the slim boots will fit though, Tyler said the size 2 fit him perfectly and he's usually a 3 in their footwear...
Can always sell them to me lol, it just means I'd hold off on my own purchase for a week or so. But yeah I was concerned at what he meant by that really.

(please convince me not to cop guys )
:p:p
Glad to see you've changed your mind on the slim boots though.

Probably just different long sleeve tees, I liked the Archives pic as well as the runway styling that had this particular leather layered over/worn open. I think the vest's offerings of black, brown (charcoal?) and blue opens up opportunities to wear different shades under it. Still, not really a big fan of the button fastening.

:D:D
Edit: Am I the only one who prefers the vest version better?

There's a denim version although I much prefer the washed leather that A posted, even more than the Augusta sneaks.

^^ That's nuts man, kind of like that scene in Casino Royale with the guy betting his car keys on a poker game, except without the poker
