  1. Tangerine, I noticed your shirts (button-ups and tee-shirts alike) tend to be a bit oversized -- especially when it comes to length. I'd venture to suggest that it's throwing your overall look off a bit because:

    a) the rest of your clothing is well fitted

    B) the rest of your look is appropriately "mature" -- especially the boots

    c) like many of us, you're beyond your college years, and the oversized shirt comes off as somewhat sophomoric

    That's just me though...

^^ partially agree with this but overall your image rocks Tangerine. And don't bother blurring your face in the future, your pics are better unedited. Keep up the good work!

  2. a few questions

I have seen many different fits on the dior 19cms, some a bit baggy and some spot on, no extra bagginess even at the knees, after decent wear- why is this?

also, for a good tighter fit in the MIJ 19cms, how much should I size down if I am a 29-30inch waist at about 5'8" 135lbs? also, at my shorter height should I expect to have them hemmed, or?

Also, with the diors tighter fitting, how much stretching should I expect? and how much sizing down would be a good counter to this?

and finally, is it true that the black raws do not fade? I find that a little hard to swallow; being raw they should have some fading eventually after a good amount of wear and strain, right?

i'm 5'10 135-140 lbs. same waist as you. The pair of Dior I wear the most (orange overdyed made in Italy) have some bagginess at the knees but nothing too extreme. If your true waist is 29-30, I would recommend a size 28 in 19cm. the pairs I have in a size 28 all are currently 30 or 30.5" waist actual measured and they stretched out about 1" from when they were new. They are nice and I can wear them without a belt if I wish. I only wear mine 2-3 times a week, not daily so if you are planning to wear them daily they may stretch out a bit more. I can post some pics if requested (that's all we need on this forum, more pics of people in their jeans) regardlessm let me know and hope this helps.

  3. anybody know where i can get the same style jacket both halves of justice are wearing in this photo?

i cannot find that certain style!

    Image31.png

the dirt(ier) looking one on the right is wearing a dior homme jacket (99.9% sure), looks like this one: http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f50493008

For options much less than 2K I would try ebay, search "black vintage leather jacket" and go a size smaller than you normally wear in clothing now, ex, if you wear a size 40, search for 38's good luck

  4. i think you got the right size...im under the impression that the thin finn's fit very similar to the slim jims...if so, you should be fine.

    dumbass question:

ive have never gotten jeans tailored before, can i get them done at a local dry cleaners or a department store like macy's? i want to switch them from bootcut to a skinny/normal type bottom.

the local dry cleaning could probably do them if they advertise "alterations" but if it is a real expensive pair I would look up a tailor in the phone book or online in your area. If you already own a pair of style you want them to become, I recommend bringing them along so the tailor can measure them and make the bootcut ones similar. i've had this done and price was about $15-$20. hope this helps. I wouldn't advise Macy's as their staff may be more inclined to only work on clothes that they sell themselves, and may be pricier as it is a department store but I know the policy varies from store to store.

  5. coudn't find pics on the web. i cut my own hair too, but it takes two mirrors to cut the back. fucking up is ok because cuttin gyour hair this way hides mistake cause there is so much texture:

when using the thinning sheers, grab a chuck of hair, twist it around to make like a tee-pee of hair, and start at the base of the tee-pee and snip from the root up a couple of times. works like a charm.

thx for the detailed sketch, seeing as how I already have some thinning shears (didn't know what they were called), I'm gonna try this the next time I cut my hair. If i'm bored I'll take some before and after pics, but currently my hair looks like ass so I dunno.

you're good now, put a steak on that

fuck a tear came out of my eye from laughing when i saw this pic, where do you guys find this shit? and make sure that's not a kobe steak.

anyways I'm a noob, and asian (with delicate features) at that, have your way with me but quickly, so I can go post my dior denim on WAYWT.

  7. i use bidslammer.com, have been for 2 years now. i actually buy a lot of shit on ebay so if it wasn't working well i would've changed sites. i think it only f-ed up 1 or 2 times in 2 years and i probably on average try to snipe 2-3 things a week. once or twice a year they have sales on "snipebucks" where you can get $40 worth for $20 or something like that. it's a good investment as you won't have to worry for 4 hours before the end of the auction trying to snipe on your own, esp. with an unreliable DSL line. hope this helps.

  8. two things about cutting asian hair:

    -extreme point cut

    -thining sheers

cpaik, not the greatest execution on the mohawk imo. looks too clunky, and like it has too much product in it. needs more texture, which is hard to get with asian hair. when i had my fauxhawk mullet combo, i never need much hair clay at all.

hailxenu, i'm an asian DIY haircut guy and looking for a new or slightly different style. can you explain the extreme point cut you are talking about, and how to go about that (pics would be cool), I'll google the thinning sheers myself. oh and I agreee about your comment on the first mohawk, too much product. Too shiny and too much stiffness looks kinda fobbish to me, just my opinion (and from personal experience too).

also american crew pomade and fiber works pretty well with my hair (pomade when it's short and fiber when it's longer), experiment with the amount you use as too much is not always good, the hold is not the greatest so when i think i got it to perfection I do a quick over with hair spray. hope this helps

  9. Is there a US online store that sells 19cm Raw Black Dior Homme Denim?

not black but dark grey? http://www.eluxury.com/browse/product_detail.jhtml?styleid=11346752&SectionID=7000

    also got the black stretchy

    http://www.eluxury.com/browse/product_detail.jhtml?styleid=11346664&SectionID=7000

does anyone own the black stretchy or are they just glorified cheap mondays at 6X the cost? I was tempted to try them on in NYC but always hesitant of going into the fitting rooms for some reason when shopping... oh welll
