  1. east new york is nice, in 70th Precinct, Canarsie aint bad either

Thanks +. This sounds really naive but are those neighbourhoods safe for asian people?

Is craiglist the best place to search online, I've heard mixd stories?

In terms of finding a job, how easy is it to find one once I get there? I'm the equivalent to a CPA but not sure how firms are willing to sponsor in the US so I'd be willing to work a hospitality job whilst I look for work in finance. I just can't afford to fly back and forth for interviews nor wait around to get seconded to NY so I'm pretty keen just to move there and get stuck into it.

  2. Thanks for all the comments.

Can you guys give me a name of someone whom you consider to be really good looking working in HK either in modelling or acting. I've googled alot of pages and seen some pictures but don't know how reputable the firms are.

The reason I ask is I just want to get an idea of what is considered 'good looking'. I meet the physical specifications in terms of height, weight, build etc but just the 'look' I am not too sure of.

The agency I'm with in Australia does no work overseas so it's very hard to gauge what my chances are of just packing up and heading straight to hk. Also there is not much work for asian models in Brisbane. I've received alot of compliments for the way I look but it's not sufficient to pay for a one way flight to HK.

PS: I'm not gay (Not that there's anything wrong with that)

  3. There is no shopping or restaurants of specific note. Plenty of mediocre/decent places if you just walk around. Stop surfing the internet and go see some half-fucking naked Scandinavian girls sunbathing.

haha good call I would +rp if I could

Can't believe how many hot euros were in the south.

  4. i wonder what made the dude wanna model in tokyo as a non-white boy / halfie

Friend is in Japan atm and said it was a great place with some great stories. It was a preference over HK because I've always wanted to go there especially for the clothes and culture.

  5. how long do you plan to stay in Japan? The agencies i met asked at least that you stay 6 months but i have no idea if all the agencies have the same policies. If you want more agencies contacts i'll post them later.

I'd like to stay for at least a year maybe two to see how I like the place.

The link you sent it locked? I'm Chinese but get mistaken for just about any asian nationality under the sun, including mixed asian.

  6. How competitive is it to get a male modelling job in Tokyo for casual clothes and high fashion photoshoots and runway jobs? Could anyone please suggest a well known agency or a good place to start? Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if I'm posting in the right thread as I had a search and could not find any specific threads, please direct me if I'm not.

  7. Is Toronto a mainly young city? I'm 24 and where I'm living at the moment theres too many old people so the city is really tame.

Nice thread btw, someone did mention to me Toronto is a good place to move to so this helps me in deciding where to go.
