  1. RL custom fit polos are the slimmer ones. RL Purple label is slim too but super pricey. The custom fits run about $75-80 and they have vintagey colors on the online site.

mmm purple label. everything fits and feels so nice. <333

  2. i know your feet are cold , but take off the blazers and go with the first pair (stop being a pansy and take it like a man). wearing the blazers changes the entire ensemble's dimension for the worst.

    (first one's free)

i agree with the comment on the blazers. 90% of the time i only wear my sneakers with a white tee and skinny denim, but i just culdnt deal with it today. i go to school on the hudson river and theres snow and ice and wind. :-X

  3. I would disagree even on the quality of the pastries. I'm not saying they are horrible, but just average. Veniero's is much better even with all the tourists in line.

I just don't see how you can include Farrara's on the list for nice atmosphere. The cannolis are ok if you want to pick some up and eat them at your place, coffee is also average. The lights are so bright I can see a mustache on every "italian" girl that goes there all the way from jersey.

i've never sat down there. i just take out. i enjoy it a lottttttttttttt.

lol @ mustaches on jersey girls

as for venieros...they have a mean cheesecake & good biscotti but i def like cannolis and all that shit better at ferrrara.

  4. omg. maybe i'm the only italian in this thread. overall the quality of the amoutn of pastries they have is delicious..not backing down on that one..i dont think i've waited more than ten minutes for takeout..i go late though

serendipity sucks. 4 hours for a fucking hot chocolate

  5. I'm confused; aren't the standard RL, FP, and lacoste polos all pique? Jersey polos are nice, but pique weave is great for warm weather--airy and less likely to stick to you.

Vintage/thrift can be a good route for polos. 80s poly/cotton jersey polos can have a great feel and a trimmer fit than new polos. More likely than other thrift shirts to have pitstains though.

H+M has some nice polos right now that are tipped like FPs--pretty sophisticated looking for whatever they cost.

i love jersey polos, i'd say like at least half of mine are. i have a few rl piqued and they're ok but just because they have that length in the back, which as a girl is key, and they're 100% cotton. the lacoste are ultra piqued and have i think like 10% stretch which to me is an awful combination, AND they dont have length in the back. sucks. i have like 7 and i never wear them...waste of money

p.s i've never worn a fred perry i just like the look of it so i dont know how they wear/fabric content

  6. old school vintage washed out and starchy

    in pastle colours

    no thanks...

in my opinion you can't beat an RL polo, espeically the fit...but i'm a girl so idk how it works for guys. they all have length in the back which is a nice feature that lacoste should look into because the fit on lacoste sucks and they're piqued which i hate. i'd go with some r.l

i also like fred perry, the crest is cool

  7. ^ Red, the first kid allowed you to take a picture of him? He looks like he's about to slit everybodys throat and spray the swastika on the wall.

anyone else think he looks like g-child from white rapper show? hahahaha

  8. st. regis hotel=gorgeous.

my mom is a travel agent and booked a couple there last week and apparently the service is as amazing as the atmosphere.

smith & wollensky is a greatttttttt steakhouse, and they also offer a fantastic lobster tail (says my dad). its excelllent

and even if you dont go on the night of her birthday, highly reccomend a stop at Ferrara's, downtown on grand st @ mulberry st. its an extreeeeeemly famous italian pasty shop, been there since like 1920 or something ridiculus, the desserts there are beyond amazing...

    edit: 100th post! :)

  9. panera.

    you pick two.

sometimes the sandiwch is huge & amazing & delicious.

other times its small as fuck and the soup is cold.

    i can't stop going though.

he can't stop going because i'm addicted and i drag him with me. so, blame me. :-X

  10. the curious incident of the dog in the night time by Mark Haddon

she's come undone by wally lamb

i know this much is true by wally lamb

white oleander by janet fitch [i know it was a movie but the book is much much better]

thats what i've read in the past 2 months or so...
