hooligan, i just noticed that pig skin and horse hide wallet you put on sale. can you explain that white stitching down the middle of the fold on the inside? Does that mean the pockets are sewed shut in the middle (ie: I will not be able to place entire bills lengthwise)
Shinobi... Not positive on your question but the white stitching down the middle is to break the leather on the inside into four card slots. Bills would go lengthwise behind those in the bill pocket (behind the pig skin) does that make sense? I can send you a photo of what it would look like with cards and money if you'd like....

well it's not totally leather, but it does go with my new leather wallet. And it had leather on it so here's my new wallet lanyard...

It would probably be fine with just the two lines, but I figured this would get a bit of wear and tear and the zig-zag lines definitely help to strengthen the denim.

just out of curiosity, is the criss-crossing of the threads across the surface of the denim there to keep it structurally together or is it a design aspect?
It's more of a structural thing, like they did with collars on vintage denim and leather jackets, but it's also kind of a cool design also...

does it have to do with going with a loose pair or a tight pair? I've not noticed that with mine, but I went with a looser pair I guess.

Didn't really plan this as an update, but going with the family to drop off some goodwill stuff, and bam!
My wife's car get's a flat! I haven't changed a flat in years, but it went pretty smooth. They hide the jack now under the drivers seat...
And what caused it? A nail? A screw? no a wrench! And check out what it did to the tire! No simple fix this one. Gotta buy a new tire now!
Tiny Donut spare and ready to roll...
Dirty, but the pants held up great!
made it to the goodwill and looked around a bit too.. Found this cool "Levi's" mug... didn't buy it.

depends how you like your boots. I could polish them up and hide the wear and they'd look pretty new.

I'd go wesco myself, but I'm biased. Think of it as a pair of jeans. If your jeans wear in and fade right away as opposed to a pair that takes a long time, which pair is going to break down and have holes quicker? I'd go with the pair that takes forever... that means they'd probably last forever too...

Fuck, this wait for my White's is killing me.
the wait is worth it...
Knucks... They look a bit tight from the angle of the photo. Are they the stock semi brown?

got to say- loving my wallet and shorties ordered back in feb.keep up the good work!
wish i'd known you were doing an apron- i bought my mrs one from stronghold as we were in LA for a minute. cost me a bomb!
thanks Nicka, glad everything is still going strong...
Those aprons are a new item as I'm giving a try at bigger item in Denim. Jeans and jackets are my next quest... I'm getting all the machinery I need first and I'll have to make a few pairs before I'm ready...

I sliced the tip of my finger off with a rotary last year by not paying attention to where the blade was and where my finger was... lesson learned....

thanks Shinobi
so both ends meet but it's still the same length on the front right? Looks like the denim is aging really nice on that one!

is this what you do full time now or do you just have plenty of time during your regular job?
no it's not my full time job... although I'd like it to be. I'd have way more stuff on my site if I was full time. It does take up most of my free time though.

I've got six wallets in mid making... should have them done by the weekend... three horse/duck (two natural one cordovan/black) and three in cow with denim and with a D-Ring now for attaching to a lanyard...(improved design) They should turn out pretty cool.
I can make a denim lanyard if you'd like, not sure how well it would hold up but it should hold up pretty well.
I can make a super long shortie... maybe call it "Stretch"
Check back this weekend or beginning of the week!

so today I had to go out to the Venice area of LA and as I've never stopped by the pier, I thought I'd check it out. If you're into sea bird poop and dead fish then that's the place for you.
