  1. If you're after a bit of fine dining, Galileo restaurant at the Observatory Hotel is now offering a ~25% discount on their degustation menus (Sun-Thu nights only, Five course $65, Seven course $85). Beautiful blend of traditional French cuisine with tantalising Japanese influences and flavours from Haru Inukai.

Spent a weekend with the missus at the Observatory hotel for an anniversary and the Galileo is an awesome place for eatings.

Their degustation menu (seven course) was delicious and cheap as chips for the price you pay.

Not only that, chill out in the drawing room and also the Globe bar for an atmosphere that reminds you of Titanic.

    Have fun in Sydney Plongin.

  2. Whenever I see a baby corn being used in a vegetable medley, I am ready to strike about 30 pts off my score for the restaurant, baby corn infuriates me!

Anyhow, is this place in Sydney Pogi?

Yeah wasn't too pleased about the baby corn, but the entire meal was delicious, definitely worth it.

Yup yup in Sydney of course. Best food city in Australia. ^^

  3. ^That last looks the best.

For the asian guys, do you use a asian hairdresser or just any hairdresser?

I've just found that when I use a caucasian hairdresser they have trouble in styling it. Maybe I just need to change hairdressers.

I go to a Japanese hair stylist, cuts hair great but can't style for crap.

So I grab the fiber and show him how its done.

  4. Just a heads up, Calvin Klein range of all underwear is on sale at Myer for 30% off, used gf's staff discount and got an extra 15% off.

while not really SHOPPING related, do any of you have any accomodation recommendations?

i never realised how crazy the real estate market around UNSW was.

    tips, anyone?

You can try on www.realestate.com.au and look for sole or shared accommodation to rent, and/or have a walk around the city and find the many advertisements on street lights, power poles, etc. that advertise accommodation.
