  1. Dark grey / charcoal suit, probably from brooks brothers or similar, worn a few times already so it doesn't look like its just off the rack but very smart, certainly 100% wool and not cheap H&M polyester blend.

    White or blue shirt with a small pattern, simple boring tie, black shoes that are CLEAN (non clean-shoes are horribly obvious). If you are going to wear a double cuff shirt make sure that you wear discreet cuff-links. Your clothes should be smart but utterly forgettable. You should impress but your clothes should simply give off a professional manner.

  2. I want barack obama to be elcetd preident because i am a communist iece of eurotrash, therfore i really hope she dosen't fall on her ass. This is the VP debate, the best possible thing to happen is for it to be crappy and boring and forgettable, so that the focus is oon obama v mcain not on obama v palin. Any clear victory, even for biden isnt going to do any good in the long run because it will be spun as sexism and other rubbish by the media, i hope she speaks in her typical dull geeralisations all night and that biden is polite and utterly forgetable and ignores her as much as poissble.

  3. IMO a few points, from a serious financial non-expert

    1. the world economy is fucked, the level of "junk debt" being leveraged by the major corporations exceeds the total GDP of the entire world...$700bn won't save the situation.

    2. What you will never hear mention of in he american press is who the banks owe the money too, if you are in debt that means you need to pay someone, banks gave out shit loans to homeowners and put themselves in debt, but then levaged this money and sold it off , there is no less money in the system now than before, its just that the countries with productive assets are now utilising the position of power they have over western democracies, chavez wasn't worried about the venesuelan economy last week at the UN was he - because the venesuelan econmy is doing just fine comparitivly, Russia and China have the west bent over here and the west can do nothing to stop them

    3. Thh way western governments have responded is entierly political, if they disenfranchise the home owners that took out the shitty loans they face losing the next elections because millions of people end up without good housing, in addition wall street resististance deregualtion without reward is so pracsisted and well funded that it becomes essentially meaniingless to attempt to punish the banks. Thus governments have elected to increase national debt to buy out the lonas and rely on long term property trends to bail them out. But there is no clear idea of how this is going to work, or even if it will work with western coutries becoming preportionatly less wealthy.

  4. come to france, you can drink at 14 or even less depending on how you look, free tuition, close to spain, moutain and stuff, you can go to paris too...

    </patriotism>

    the french uni system is seriously fucked up though, 2 years of slaving away after school to have a chance of getting into a decent college is shit

  5. Currently starting my second year at Cambridge university doing law in the UK, here in the UK the system is kind of different as law is an academic 3 year undergraduate degree followed by a 1 year sponsored vocational course and 1-2 years of on the job training.

    I feel for all you people doing LSAT.

    I have a theory that the main reason law is a graduate qualification in the US is because your legal drinking age is 21 and no-one can survive law school without easy access to alcohol C/D?
