  1. That said we not that expensive,

sorry neal but i'm going to have to respectyfully disagree with you here, having been along jermyn street recently i would have to say your prices are definatley in the high end. It is very possible to get a brilliant RTW shirt from say, H&K for under £100, And i know of at least one saville row tailor who will do a bespoke shirt from £140. Of course its a very different style and asthetic, and the details are probably of equal quality on yours ( you use MOP buttons right?) and I expect the price difference comes from the fact yours have to come all the way from japan and back ect. So I do understand why yours are expensive.

  2. Where do you live in the UK? There are plenty of cities where stuff like this happens, and worse.

I'm not going to lie- i live in a very middle-class, suburb not down mile end or south london or similar. I never said stuff like this does not happen, but i think to compare the two is crazy. ( i don't want to get into the gun control argument here though.. if you disagree lets leave it at that)

  3. I'm glad i live in enlgand where we this barley ever happens and we don't have have people saying stupid crap like this (well much anyway):

guns save more lives than they take. if those reserve cops were armed or more good citizens were armed less good people would have died, just the shop owner and the gunman.
  4. yeah as i live in the UK it is pretty much essential viewing :D, btw it gets a LOT better as the series goes on, epsiode 8 - which is about effy is brilliant.

I don't suppose you'll ever get it over there in the states, what with all the sex and drugs and your studpily repressive media, which is a shame because its a brilliantly funny and surprisingly complex drama. Easily the best show on British Tv scince series 3 of Battlestar, though sadly the first series just finished.. still we have doctor who now (and presumably a new series of torchwood- which is a doctor who spinoff with lesbian zombies) to tide us over.

    Bittorrent FTW

  5. I've become a fucking zipper whore nerd, i can pretty much tell from any picture given the differmce between a YKK zipper and a Riri or lampo zipper. sufu waht the fuck have you done to me.........

  6. London is by FAR the best city in the uk, becuase of its small size and the position of central ineternational airports. the Uk only has 1 hub, which is london. smaller cities like manchester, birmingham ect are forever in its shadow and reaaly just national cities as oppossed to truely internatonal venues.

Having said the the 2 "other capitals" cardiff and edinburugh are both brilliant places. with a unique atmosphere and culutre ( edinburgh is also one the most beautifull citeis in the world which is always nice).

then you have the smaller historic towns which are nice but not very superfuturarian, eg oxford and cambridge - cool but student dominated (cambridge moreso than oxford) and pretty isolated and crappy compared to other places.

to park in LONDON for 6months if you can afford it before you decide where you want to go, get a decent job ect is an excellent idea.

  7. freitag is not even waterproof

WRONG! fritag bags are made of truck tarps, which are "hardwearing and waterproof". You would be pretty screwed if every truck yu saw on the road had non-waterproof sides

  8. You know the feeling of stumbling upon something and knowing right then and there that you're about to fall in love with it and make it another one of your life's passions? This thread gave me that beautiful feeling. I feel enlightened.

yep, its how i felt when i found superfuture :D

  9. its also worth pointing out that target makes FAR more money off selling crappy tank tops at $10 than raf/ann D/ dior (well this one is the exception cause of the LVMH thing) do out of ripping off rich people. NOT that i disagree with you at all england. I think its always about finding that point of diminishing returns (which big ass sales can often provide ;) , its why i'll buy say a pair of APC's but never some 45rpm's, while the rpm jeans are nicer the differnce is no-where near as drastic as the differnce between the quality of APC's compared to target jeans.

At the moment i'm wearing a white t-shirt that cost about $20, i could have bought one for $5 but this one is pima cotton (uniqlo if you care) and really does feel and wear nicer. Does that logic extend to the dior hooom t-shirt that costs $300 , probably not for most people but i do understand why some people would. And ofc a large part of the market is just insecure people who have to hide behind labels.

  10. When I originally set out on this endeavor, i figured I was going to get something pretty close to the basic color wings and horn sweatshirts. The guy I had been working with had made it clear that these custom ones would pretty much have all the bells and whistles of a w and h hoodie.

After receiving the hoodies I was a little disappointed because the fabric is not the same, nor are the cuffs. They could of passed for an american apparel hoody. So, I washed one to see if it would help and it did. The fit is great and it is growing on me overall.

But, I dont understand how CYC expects people to retail this hoody at 125 minimum. So, if you guys think its worth to do, we can do it. But, I just want everyone to know what they are getting before hand.

You have the say on the quality and the fit, i did find some pictures of the new w+h summer line on steve alan that look kinda similar ( althogh with destictive pocktes + zippers, lining ect). I'm clutching at straws here but if you cross refernce that with some peoples negative reactions to the s/s line (saying they felt reaaly flimsy ect) that might have been what you got. some more pictures would be definatley be good and would certainly help me make up my mind.
