I have to say the similarity to the denim on my oni shoai's is REALLY striking. The weave and the purple selvage - I wonder if it's produced by the same peeps. Would kill to see some side-by-sides.

I think they were dyed by the same guy. Because his name is Awashoai (I think) So the 1950 AWA and the Oni Shoai sound like they just took the first and last parts of his name.

its canvas dude, let them age then toss them in the washing machine every couple months. i like to keep leather shoes clean but i have learned to love indigo stains on white shoes.

if anything I would let leather break in and keep my white shoes clean. leather gets more comfortable and supple sneakers just get creased and worn and ugly.

clothes are definitely an investment because everything comes full circle. I've been watching Seinfeld recently and saw Kramer rockin some old school wranglers slim fit and it reminded me of how majority of SuFu's and I dress. Also if you are an avid seinfeld watcher like me you'll notice that Jerry only rocks Nikes. The jeans you buy now will last you at least 5+ years depending on how hard you wear them. Compared to some of the other jeans brands that are more popular such as AF and R&R that tear sooooo easily!

i stepped on a lightbulb barefoot and got all those little bits of glass in my instep. then the doctor had to "probe" inside the cuts to pulll out the glass. It fucking hurt.
