My thinking is that raw denim is much more popular over there, therefore more people there are gonna be in the contest and have more experience with fading jeans, and we all pretty much agree that ryu's SC and that one dudes eternals are the "holy grails" of denim, or at least 2 of the best fades we have ever seen and they were both done by japanese guys so it stands to reason that the winner would be from japan.

and from what ryu said the japanese guys are doing more in their jeans than walk around soho or browse fashion message boards.

pictures have flash and make the jeans look WAY bluer then they are. if you knwo these jean you know what they really look like. they both have no wear on them. The picture with the patch shows closest to true color but they are darker than that.

Does anybody have experience with Sugarcane's bootcut model? I'm looking for something similar to a Ralf.

And out of curiosity, can what's the difference in fit between the Okinawa and the 47? Some sites say that the Okinawa is a lower rise and a wider thigh, with both jeans being similar from the knee down, while other sites say they're pretty even.

I beleive that okinawa is a Lee style fit and 47 is obviously a 501
