  1. i think the point they are making is that you should have soaked them before hemming or you are in danger of losing too much length and them being too short! you will prob just get away with it tho seeing the amount of cuff you have there. i think most shrink about 3 inches in the leg after a soak.

    they looking nice presently tho!

  2. im a bit concerned you werent told that they will shrink when washed/wet. i guess you have the perfect fit now, which will obviously give a little with wear, but it just means that they can only ever be dry cleaned.

did you buy smaller size than you usually wear for them to fit so snug straight off?

  3. they look nice, good fitting around the thigh area. do they taper? would be keen to get a pair but just wondering whether they will be too similar to my lvc 47 i mainly wear.

  4. would just like to ask a quick question. ok, so i tried them on straight out of the box and the length and waist is great. the butt doesnt seem overly big, but the thighs are sticking out quite a lot at the outside seems.

is this just cos the denim has been creased when folding and is it likely to drape better with wear/ a soak?

an advice would be great, because i have to decide quite quickly if i want to keep them or return. obviously i wont soak them until i decide im gonna keep. these are the one wash version btw.

    thanks

  5. personally i dont see what the problem is. all they have to do is change some detailing and thats it, over. they can still produce all their same jeans and people can buy them, or do you only buy jeans because they have a tab and arcuate? why have copyright law if anyone who wants to can infringe it and not pay? at least it isnt as bad as someone like rolex usa who wouldnt even allow rolex watches bought in europe etc to be shipped into the country.

the people who really could suffer from this are the retailers, who now have stock they cant sell because it breaks the law. however i suspect that items manufactured before a certain date may be fine as a ruling hadnt been made. will the manufacturers cover the cost for replacement items, or will it eventually end up coming out of the customers pocket?

  6. im new and i was gonna post in this thread cos i thought it would make me cool or something. then i decided that i didnt want or need to be thought of as cool by people i dont even know, so the really cool thing to do would be to not post at all. so i didnt....

  7. i really wanted my sorahikos to fit nicely, as i have heard so many good things about the brand but unfortunately, they just dont suit me. ideally i think if i had the chance to try on some jomons then that is what i would buy.

if im able to get a refund from paris then i will have to start all over again trying to decide what to go for next.. took me long enough to decide on these! what are your fave jeans poly, as you seem to have a variety of brands?

  8. i know what you mean about the soak.. i thought the same, however, they came in the same state as what a soak puts them in anyway (dry and crispy). i reckon i could get away with it!

  9. update: just tried them on again whilst damp. they molding to shape a lot better but im not sure if i like the fit or not. a lot wider in the leg compared to my lvc47. large leg opening too. hmm, should i send them back and buy something else? any ideas? maybe something from big

    advice please!

  10. well.. my sorahikos arrived today from paris. my basic size ranges from 32-34 and the guy there suggested i buy a 34 which i did (maybe thats all they had?). i tried them on today and the waist was pretty much ok, not too tight or lose, but i realise this may get looser with wear.

the general fit of them was quite boxy through the legs, but i attribute this to the freshly dried state they seem to be in. i have now given them a soak in cold water and they are presently drying. im hoping they will fit more to my body shape when i put them on tomorrow.

    thats it!
