526s on top of BKs. Notice the BKs are about an inch or two shorter, the 526s are double cuffed and the BKs are only cuffed once.

BKs about half an inch bigger in the waist, I attribute this to not enough stretching time for the 526s

I think the measurements BiG posted are right. mine measure about a 34 in the waist after a day or two of wearing. they fit very very similarly to my 5000bks.

I've heard the XX came from the rivets in backpockets on Levi's but I know that was also the name that Amoskeag gave to the denim that Levi's used. I'm sure Paul could give you an answer.
