anyway, the kool guys tees was one of my favorites from last year.... don't be bitter, be better!
Kool Guys was dope, and "don't be bitter, be better" was a dope slogan.
But
and he's just out to promote the LES, no pretentious bullshit.I have mixed feelings about this comment. On the one hand, I like that they're all about the LES. Its cool that they're involved in community events and shit like that. People who work in the store are generally pretty cool. However, its shirts like this one:
that annoy the hell out of me. Since it's hard to read, the worm is saying "go home", referring to gentrification in the city at the hands of rich midwesterners. While I agree with the point they're trying to make, I think it's a little hypocritical of them to put out a shirt like that while they promote how cool it is to live in the LES. 205 club is "locals only". . . aka the rich white hipsters that moved into the neighborhood because they heard how cool it is down there.
Its this conflicting message of community and exclusivity that bothers me.

Magic tricks are definitely corny, but having a demonstratable skill and a story associated with it is good.
For example, a friend of mine does a little origami. He learned some good stuff while he went to study abroad in Japan. When he is in a more intimate setting than a club/bar, he takes a piece of paper, begins folding it, and then starts telling this story about a little boy with one arm who used to fold origami, or some such shit. He paces the story very carefully and you can literally see the girl hanging onto his every word. He finishes the story with an excellent line and then hands her the Phoenix he just made as the chick stare at him with the puppy dog eyes. Done deal.

is it just me or does it feel like cheap started some sort of jordan 5 reVolution on waywt?
also no hate but why does the retro's always looks like cheap fakes to me? (probably because they look too new)
I've had those Vs long before I found superfuture. I wish I could find some wearable OGs, but at size 15 that's just not happening so I have to settle for retros.

I think "invading" the Hypebeast WAYWT thread is just sad. I know y'all look down on those guys, but posting fits that are geared towards the Superfuture audience --when there is obviously a different dominant aesthetic there-- and then debating with people about the superiority of their fits in lame, lame, lame.
