  1. I warm soaked mine for 2 hours with a little detergent (there was a lot of blood inside one of the legs) and i'm really really happy with how they came out.

I've been wearing them for probably 5 of the last 7 months and they're starting to get some good fades, the soak made the denim a lot darker and filled back in a little of the fading which I expected, but it also made it really coarse, i wasn't expecting that.

  2. just got my new Bianchi Pista for 400 bucks, basically brand new 2007 55cm.

Took it out for a ride - wow fixed gear is really different than regular bikes.

however, i tried replacing the handlebars and the screws (not really, but idk what they're called) wont move even w/ the right tools..

and when I ride, sometimes when im speeding up fast the crank almost "skips".. not sure what's up with that.

    thanks!

as far as the bolts go. brute force it, just make sure you're going the right way.

and for the slipping, take it to a shop asap. sounds like a loose lock ring or cog, which can ruin your day/wheelset if the threads strip

PS check out what i got in the mail today

  3. i love how ur hating on his shit and u ride a bike worth almost 2 grand and u wear $400 jeans and $100 vnecks.

i'm building up a bike worth 3 grand, wear $300 jeans, and think streetwear is bullshit and riding 3k carbon fiber tubular track wheels on the street is asking to get fucked.

    fight me

  4. god damnit.

i just did a rough draft of what this new bike is going to cost me.

around 3 grand when its all said and done. custom lugged steel frame

NJS: dura ace cranks/hubs. nitto bars/stem/seatpost. mks pedals/clips. toshi straps. EAI.

non NJS: sealed ultegra bottom bracket, sealed headset of some kind. velocity aero rims, whatever double butted spokes.

and then i'll probably get a sealed bearing wheelset for the winter.

on the other hand, people spend 3-30k on cars all the time.

  5. I can't get the stem to clamp tight enough on the bars. but I have tried wheelies already,

bars always slip back and fork tube is to tight for track stem.

    haha

cut a little square of tin out of a beer/soda can, wedge it in there. your bars don't fit your stem my dude

  6. i work at the electric company, one of the states we serve is utah. part of SLC had lost power, we only had about 6-8000 customers but each one called probably 5-10 times each, which makes for a lot of stupid stupid calls.

i got extra money for coming in and then overtime, but still. fuck riding home at 3am when its cold as dick and you've been up for 21 hours because you didn't think you'd have to work all night when you got up

  7. don't ever volunteer for that shit. ever. even if you get cash up front for just carrying a fly ass pager. they will call your ass up and you will work 6p - 3a and you won't even get a decent meal out of it.

  8. Just buy what ever bike you want don't worry about if its hip or not or if sycamore aproves. If your bike you should love if cz its yours not cz other ppl think its cool.

Fools hate on my bars and cranks all the time but w.e its my baby I built my bike from the ground up. I sometimes ride in cutoff jeans and a fanny pack. There's is nothing cool about a fanny pack! I don't give a fuck if I'm not wearing self edge cycling jeans or if I have a pointless njs headset. My bike is kool because I think its kool that all that should matter don't let some bike elitist tell you how to build your bike.

neg repped for you not being able to spell "because" or "cool" or "whatever"

  9. If there was a SuFu bike race, Jeremy would win.

Word is he's fast like Superman.

fuck that, summertime alleycat. if you lose you lose your jeans. mad cats going home in boxerbriefs
