  1. wings&horns retail for like $750 i think but most of the retailers are either friends of superfuture or styleforum so a discount can usually bring them down to like $550-600. However, the model you keep posting was from f/w 07/08 and is not produced anymore so if you can find those in your size, you may as well get them.

From what i gather, it seems they do slightly different leather sourcing for the different seasons so if one is a must have get it. Because s/s10 probably won't have the same leather and look as the current ones (maybe better though who knows)

  2. I'm excited about the new varsity model. I'm debating whether or not i want to get the new warmer version (i'm guessing that's what it is) to wear in boston fall/winter or if i want to get the original one and just layer more underneath. Can anyone who owns it comment on how cold a temperature they'd wear this thing in?

These new colorways people are making are really dope. I think it's cool, dismal allowed people to use their creativity to create sick patterns for other people to purchase.

  3. Glad you liked it. I loved seeing him live even though the crowd in gainesville was terrible. It was at this lame hipster place where there is an outdoor bar attached to the bar/venue inside. Most of the people just stayed outside and didn't realize a rock legend was inside playing music. Mostly an older crowd watching the show. Pretty funny that a legend like him had like 50 people actually paying attention. Most of the college kids are stupid hipster fucks though.

He did a fun dance during "i was dancing at a lesbian bar" and did 2 songs in spanish and did a brief rendition of arrivederci roma to end the set. I really want to see him again. Hopefully, he tours again soon

    moving into

will be going to harvard in the fall, never been to boston :( gonna go out there in a month or so to check some shit out but i'm wondering what neighborhoods are good to check out while i'm there.

If you're going to harvard, just look into the Cambridge area. You can normally find an available room in a house or apt with like 3-4 other people.

Allston is relatively cheap (not as much as it used to be) and real close to harvard campus area. Other neighborhoods close enough to harvard where you could potentially live are somerville, brighton, and watertown.

  5. So you look at that photo of yourself and it doesn't look awkward to you? Guess it must be nice....

What is it about australia that makes a lot of the small startup brands/designers there want to do a ton of unoriginal black drapey stuff with head stuff trying to look like julius?

  6. Sufu rules:

Making fun of SZ users and the forum = bad/threadslocked

Making fun of SF users and the forum = acceptable, plz post pictures of other people who don't post here and make fun of them for 3-4 pages

mouko- Takes some balls to do that. Good luck

  7. Does it really matter? Those w&h boots are a year and a half old. My guess is your odds of finding them in your size is super super slim since you pretty much have to rely on 2nd hand

  8. i think all of our forums straddle the grey area, though in different ways dictated by their scale and particular groups of regulars. the area between forum participants and people in the business is also very grey.

Agreed, and i didn't just mean sz people. There are sufuers and styleforumers who imo straddle the line and sometimes go back and forth. The underground advertising people with money to make (designers, boutique owners, supporters) being forum posters is sometimes questionable at best on all the forums.

Eugene, huh? Sounds like it was designed to fit him perfectly

I guess i missed the fade3back final banning. I didn't know he had a cousin. Hot?

  9. Someone post me to legit studies that actually have proof of negative side effects of drinking too much diet soda. I know water is always better for you but that's not what i'm asking. I know it's not good for your teeth but is anything actually proven as far as health goes? I've seen a few bad reports that assumes a whole lot and seem kinda sketchy. Don't give me the "anything artificial is really bad for you" i wanna see why? Because i love drinking my diet soda. Diet root beer is my fav

  10. ...and for the record, the shitting on styleforum sucks too. there are a lot of people i call friends there, irl and online.

deserves a medal for keeping xeno away from other forums. :D

  11. i don't know what you mean by saying 'takes fashion too seriously', though.. a lot of us make clothes, quite a few buyers and design enthusiasts, though some don't post nearly as often as i would like for them to. and yeah, we do tend to nerd out in eachother's company, but thats kind of what the place is for. it takes both itself and the subject matter seriously, thereby opening itself up to criticism. none of this has ever occured to me as being somehow negative.

i'm puzzled by the criticism of taking things seriously in general - the alternative always seems to be dude-bro meme-dada in the style of somethingawful.com and i've always thought that stuff to be some kind of internet aids equivalent. :)

No grey area, then? It seems some internet forum fashion experts take themselves more seriously than people in the biz. I guess to make up for not really being nearly as important as they want. Kinda like the local musicians who have less fun playing than the famous ones. Only a few though. Most of the people on various fashion fora seem pretty down.
