  1. I'm selling two messenger bags. The first is a Freitag F12 Dragnet messenger in gray. It's essentially brand new - I bought it about two weeks ago and have used it twice. It's in perfect condition, but I've decided it's a little too hip for me. $200 originally, I'm selling it for $160 shipped.

The second bag is a Jack Spade Warren St. waxwear messenger in olive. This one has seen a lot of use and is pretty broken in - the waxed cotton has really softened up and has a patina to it. It has a small nick on the underside since I bought it at a Jack Spade sample sale. The same bag costs $325 new - I'm selling for $75 shipped.

Paypal please, and prices are shipped in the U.S. I can send them out as early as Tuesday.

  2. Believe it or not, as someone who owns the Shure in-ears, the Grado SR-60s, etc., my favorite earphones is ... the combination of the Apple in-ear phones and the foam sleeves from Shure, which fit the apple phones perfectly.

The sound isn't quite as good as the Shure and is definitely not as good as my SR-60. But, that said, the apple phones are cheap, durable, and easy to replace when they eventually break; and once you replace the lame silicone tips with the completely isolating foam sleeves, the sound is great, only *marginally* less good than the Shure E2c. You never have to worry about them and can just stuff them in your pocket.

This is a great upgrade to try if you already own the apple in-ears.

  3. So this is my first-ever post on supertalk. Here's my question:

I just got a pair of overdyed black new standards size 35. They're pretty big--they button easily around the waist anda re a little baggy around the leg. By contrast every day I wear a pair of raw new standards that I've broken in myself, size 33. These are a perfect fit--they might even be a little big around the waist and sometimes I wish I'd bought size 32. (Non-APC jeans I normally wear something like a 35 waist.)

Unfortunately I bought the overdyed jeans mail-order and it seemed, in emails with the APC people, that 35 made sense--but it doesn't. It doesn't sound like they have any smaller pairs left. I'm choosing between either returning them (which is lame, because they're great), or tossing them in the washer / dryer and seeing what happens. Has anybody done this? How much will they shrink? Will they get super-small, but still expand back out?
