That is 3 for the 811's now...
I actually own two pairs of 811s. One true to size, and one sized up.

Finally know what the deal is with the wet floors in the stores. The NY 71st location is amazing...!Feng Shui?
Water features move and stimulate Chi, attracting the cosmic life energy. That would be my guess.

Nice screen. Making Ts?

I love the fit on the Gloverall Duffle. I have one, but mine goes below the knee. Did you have yours altered?

Love the gray and brown together.

^^ If it helps, the waist of my KMWs hasn't stretched that much. About .5" - 1" after 4 month of wear (always with a belt).

sidneylo picked up a pair of Eternals?
I have a feeling this thread is going to pick up traffic quick. I can't wait to see the damage.

KMW makes raw, one wash/rinse and fully washed versions of all of their models. All are Sanforized.
Thanks for the clarification Sam113. I wasn't trying to talk out of my ass, but I had never seen a raw pair of KMWs before. I know the ones I have are one-wash, because they were all wrinkly when I bought them.
TheOneTrueMatt: If the 1980s in the rinsed denim fit you the best, I'd go for those. I personally prefer one-wash jeans because it gets some shinkage out of the way and it gets rid of most of the sizing/starch.

I'm not sure what I'd be losing getting the rinse vs the raws.
You mention rinse vs the raws, but I'm pretty sure that KMWs aren't available as raw (unwashed) denim. All of the KMW jeans I've seen, and the ones I own, are one-wash. I know they have a few treated models, but I've never seen a pair of raw KMWs.
Since the KMWs are a one-wash, you shouldn't expect much shinkage. Which means that the legs will stay the same.

In the rinse the 30s fit perfectly, but maybe too much so. They were very snug in the waist so there was room to stretch but not so much that I couldn't button the top button.
Sounds like the 30s fit you. They fit snug, and you can button the fly. I would recomend true-to-size for KMWs. Mine have stretched out a half an inch over six months, but I always wear a belt.
If you want to walk around with your fly half undone for a few days, I'm sure you could buy the 29s and wait for them to stretch.
I'm suprised that the legs of the 1980s "seemed baggy" to you, since they are a very slim cut. Perhaps these aren't the jeans for you. Aren't the Rockers slightly slimmer? Maybe give those a try in a 30 waist.

It's actually a repro, here's the original from 1983
WOW! Beartrap pedals. I haven't seen those in a while, can't think how many layers of skin I've pull off my legs using those pedals.

should have held onto it - would have been worth double (at least) what i'd paid.
I say this too often. I wish I kept my bikes AND my skateboards (Gonzales, Mountain, McGill, Hosoi, and some old school Dogtown boards).
I have kept all my old skate/punk shirts, I've got a big box fill with old Powell Peraltas, Visions, G&S tee shirts.

Only 750 made.
I had to sell a bike to get this one.. not smart having ten bikes when you only plan on riding one or two.
This picture sent me back to 1984, I had one of these back in the day. I also had a few Quadangles. I only bought one, but had two factory replacements because of cracked frames. The Quadangle definitely looked cooler, but the P.K. Ripper was definitely a better ride.
The bars look different than I remember, I thought they were taller with the crossbar straight across the top. Perhaps it's not an exact replica, or maybe it's been too many years.
Great bike.

true to size if not up 1 is my suggestion.
+1, and you don't have to worry about them stretching too much. Eternals stretch, but nothing like APCs.

I sized up on mine, I didn't measure it but I don't think my true size would have stretched much.

I had to sell my first pair of 811s, which were my natural waist. I went up a size, and they fit so much better. But it wasn't the waist that was too tight, it was the thighs.
So imo...if you have skinny legs and like tight jeans, get your natural waist. If you've got bigger thighs, go up a size.

soda,
I love that vintage sole on those daytons... is that the dayton biker boot company in canada?
What soles are those?
HH - Yes both pairs are Dayton Boots, which are made on the west coast of Canada. The sole on the first boot is a Biltrite Surestep. The sole on the second boot is, of course, a Vibram. They are built like thick leather tanks.
I have a couple of months wear on the pair with the Vibrams, and I'd say they're just starting to break in. Not that they were ever painful, just stiff.

I like the orangish-red, I could go a little darker. But I'm not looking to change the color of the boot, just change the hue.

What color polish are you guys using for Alden 405s? I've been using neutral, but I want to start using a color.
Is 'brick' a good color? What other colors would you recommend?

Fuck Canadian Customs

It's like Mr. Fingers said above, it's a brokerage/handling fee. So, if the package doesn't get stopped at the border, you shouldn't be charged the fee. However, if it does...
You can get around this brokerage fee by doing your own paper work. You need to contact Canada Customs, get the proper paperwork, fill it out completely, send the paperwork to the company where you bought the product, and ensure that they include the paperwork with the product when it's shipped. If all of the above is executed right, all you should have to pay for is duty/taxes.
I do it all the time after a friend got tagged with a $40.00CAN brokerage fee for a $25.00CAN skate video.
I have been very lucky so far, and have had nothing held up at Customs. Maybe the paperwork helps?
