  1. How much do those Ruehl jeans go for, what sizes and whats the fit like? What was the smallest waist you recall seeing, they are actually nice
thanks man, too big for me if 30x30 was the biggest (and short), need more like a 28x32

can I get some better pics though if you have any? khalidjiwa @ shaw .ca

No problem, give me day or so....they might have a 28, you can always call the store and ask what is the smallest size their MORTON jean comes in...

Khaltire, they retailed for $128 but the cashier made mistake because most of their stuff was on 50% off. Luckily the pair I got didnt have a price ticket on it, so sale so she gave me half off the denim that was on sale, which was $49, so i got them for $24.50. The fit is a slim straight leg with a lowwr rise..so gives me a 'hipster' looking ass but overall fit is great, fabric and detailing are great as well...super happy with score. The smallest I believe they came in was 30x30, but you can call them. I might be up in NJ in week or so, hit with a PM if you need help scoring these. I wear alot of Rogan jeans, and PRPS...mostly darker denim..so when I can find a great fitting worn-in jean I jump on them as I did these.

  3. Well, I'll just throw my 2 cents in..

I'm almost in my mid 30's, grew up on both bands + Depeche Mode, Joy Division, New Order, Soft Cell, U2, and slew of other 80's EMO music. The Smiths are by far my favorite band: Hatful of Hallow, The Queen is Dead and Strangeways, Here we come my favorites. Handsome Devil, You've Got Everything Now, Still Ill, Hand in Glove, Girl Afraid, I Know it's Over....shit the list goes on. I cannot tell you how many times I got laid in HS because of their music. The Cure on the other hand, not so much. Most of the kids in JHS into HS were just beginning to turn goth and only had them and few others to listen to. I got into a few of their albums and songs, my favorite being Kiss Me, Kiss Me (under-rated IMO).

But back to the Smiths...Love em', they helped me be me at that time. Trust me, was not easy being a Smiths/Morrissey fan at that time, but damn the girls I turned on to their music and whom listened to it as well were uber hot, and the others had just too much hairspray, WHAM !, Boy George, Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam, Madonna, and Stacy Q playing. Anyhow, then came Viva Hate and Morrisseys' Solo career. Now, I grew up in Compton, CA...moved to S.C.LA, and this was not the kind of music me and many of my peers grew up on altogether. But again, I related to most of the lyrics and loved the music although I could not always figure out what they meant to him or whom he was singing about...they somehow meant something to me and shit going on at the time. Concerts, Wow ! I could kill myself for never seeing them Live...I was 13 and could not see them in LA for their last tour but Morrissey I saw countless times and never was dissappointed, managed to jump on stage at the SB, County Bowl for Your Arsenal tour. Viva Hate, Bona Drag (yes!), Kill Uncle, and Your Arsenal where great IMO but with the rise of Grunge Music didnt get that much love in my HS toward graduation and college. Some of my favorites on those albums are: Sister I'm a Poet, The Last of the Famous International Playboys, Interesting Drug, Suedehead( yeah i know, entire album was great), Glamour Glue, Disappointed, etc.

I will always be a fan of that era and that music, ahh the 80's and early 90's rocked. His last few albums, I didnt get because I had to grow up and moved on. I simply fell off after Vauxhall and I :o However I do own most of his latter stuff I did recently purchase Live at Earl's Court and was happy with that, but again can't say enough about him live in concert. Now turning 34, I guess part of me still wants to see Johhny and Moz reunite..hell if David Gilmour and Roger Waters can do it, they can too.....

  4. Is that the Tarmac color? If so, thanks. I honestly can't tell what color is looks like on their website. Also, if anyone is willing to help me got one of these coats from the Dunderon in store sale, I'd greatly appreciate it, and throw in a little extra cash for your trouble.

Yeah, that's the Tarmac color...it's a nice shade of olive in a great sueded nylon material. Hit me with a PM for offer on getting jacket for you and general idea of your location.

J17 - Actually tried again, went back to store and got L. Mispoke on sizing running larger, I would recommend sizing down, or for those ordering online...maybe calling store or contact corp. office for actual sizing and suggest they put that up on site too

  6. Purchases after Holidays....

    SupremeM-65.jpg

Dunderon - J17 Jacket in Black and Tarmac (Olive Green)

Supreme - Box Logo Pullover Hoody in Royal Blue and Black

Supreme - Camp Hat in Black & White *mini 'x' pattern

PRPS - Distressed Pinstripe Denim Jeans in Black & White

    Ruehl_Jeans.jpg

Ruehl - Premium Jean made with Japanese Fabric *Limited Run with great details

Normally I don't do Abercrombie Brands..The wash and fabric caught my eye, looked closer and found they were using Japanese Denim. The details both inside and out are quality: logo rivets/nails, die cast jean shanks, leather washer on CF shank, printed pocketbags, selvage piping in waistband curtain, canvas branding, and leather hanger loop logo. It also was a new fit for them, which also appealed to me...got an great deal due to a cashier mistake ($30)

  7. Dating myself but these were great concerts and great performances from my youth;

Depeche Mode - Music for the Masses 87' @ The Forum

Depeche Mode - World Violation 90' @ Dodger Stadium

Morrissey - Kill Uncle Tour 91' @ Costa Mesa Amp. then a week later @ The County Bowl in Santa Barbara

Morrissey - Your Arsenal Tour 92' @ The Hollywood Bowl

Been to few others Like Mary's Danish, RHCP's, The Cure, but those listed above were one's i'll never forget

  8. I have one of the J-17s too, in the Olive Night color. It's really nice quality for the money, it has great details (like a wire hole for headphones and a nice black fleece lining) and the fit is very nice. Be advised, they run small. I got a small, and I'm 6'0" and usually a 40 chest.
wait, what. size 40 is somewhat equivalent to an M-L. did you mean to say they run large? because they do, I suggest sizing down atleast one size from what you typically wear. I wear a standard M for example in AA and the S is a good size for me.

I'm 6'2, 40L and went with XL..but changed mind after going back to try on Large which they had put await..pics fourthcoming

  9. The NYC Store their began sale the other day so I ended up getting the J17 M-65 @ half the price. IMO the fit is great and the nylon fabric made it different than others I've seen/own.

Because of the price, I got 2....Black and Tarmac in XL. FYI...picked them up Saturday afternoon, and they still had few more

  10. Actually, I was in Blue in Green at end of October. While I was purchasing my 2 pairs of denim, there was a young lady there as well. She looked familiar, June Ambrose I believe. She's a stylist to a few hip hop stars..anywho..she was just piling up denim, easily 4 pairs of jeans: Oni, Sugarcane, Samari, etc. She even picked up a Baracuda Jacket while there. I proceed to bounce home....

Then, this weekend, I bumped into guy I know. He saw my Oni's on and asked if I got them at Blue in Green. I told him yes and few weeks back. We made some small talk about Puff and Jay (I used to work for Puffy), and he told me he told June to hit blue in Green few weeks back. I said, shit I saw her there buying a grip of stuff. He told me to check out XXXL ( i think he said that mag, either way some mag from this month) and there is an article on Jay with him wearing few items from that day.....crazy shit...Show me what you got

    * Ahh shit i'll stop.....Red, I'm just yanking your chain.

    Peace ;)

  12. Damn, you sound like a good guy to know.

    that's what I hear

Brohams shit is impressive, can't help wanting to help the little guy (figure of speech). Plus Karma is under-rated, so what the hell.....

Just Remember, it is all in the details and craftsmanship. You see I work for a major, and it's just about the bottom line at the end of the day. If I can work with design and push the envelope with the darn .02-.15 cents they give me for trims, I can walk away with a sense of pride. But when I see that someone is doing it...to do it (mind you with little to no budget).... I can't help but admire that shit.

  13. Nice set up...

Well since your getting your die sets in, let me know if you need new style rivets and shanks. Now that I know your set up, I can send you images of different finishes and different designs of shanks that will work with the exsisting die sets you own. I handle all the branding & trims for a major denim mfg. in NY and would be happy to use some of my resources to help you out. Is Coats where your getting your thread at too ? Dual Duty poly core spun ?

My only advice to you is I can say from experience, if your back patch is untreated veg leather...the shrinkage will be insane. I love that leather and know it well. It wears well with natural oils, but water and heat..kill it. You might want to look into another skin down the line. Are you box stitching it ? or top and bottom ? Tex size of thread ? Bro I am seriously here to help so if you want to PM me, I can show you the same skins Levis uses now as well as few other popular brands.

  14. whats wrong with these?

Their Like Denim Bastards to me...

You see growing up my parents had me in Levis & Osh Kosh, Drinking Coca-Cola, while listening to Rock n' Roll in the Chevy Impala....

Thus the entrenched hate for Ford, Pepsi, Lee & Wrangler Jeans...oh and Country Music
