  1. ...if in those threads you can't find what you're looking for, then you're just dumb.

I never said I wasn't dumb... Anyways, I'm sorry for making this thread, but it's only because I didn't see anything I liked in the others, and I thought since I was looking for something relatively specific, someone might have seen something that would fit the bill.

Lucas, thanks for the suggestion, I checked out Spring Courts and the shape is perfect, but the rubber toe still bothers me.

Nevermind. Can we pretend this thread never happened? I should just stick to boots anyway, or at least wait until I can afford Common Projects or bespoke Chucks without the rubber toe.

  2. Hey everybody,

I'm looking for recommendations for slim profile hi tops. Common Projects would be perfect (slim and simple), but I can't afford to spend over $150 right now. I would just go buy a pair of Chucks, but I hate the rubber toe. Not really a fan of Vans either. Anybody have any ideas? Maybe I just hate everything. Thanks for any help.

P.S. Sorry, I know there are a lot of threads on slim shoes and one on black hi tops, but I can't find any slim/simple hi-tops under $300 on the forum that aren't Chucks or Vans.

  3. I saw these a couple days ago and almost picked them up. The problem for me is where the ass and crotch meet there is always weird pulling, which seems to be the case for every pair of Uniqlo pants/jeans I've tried. Anyone else experience this? Maybe my ass isn't fat enough.

  4. i wish messenger bag companies, and particularly chrome, timbuk2, and so on, would get their nasty logos off otherwise good bags.

    +1 Reload

I just ordered a custom messenger from Reload. They have no problem leaving the logo off the bag. The wait time is about 5 weeks right now, but it's well worth it. I ordered something like their executive bag (http://reloadbags.com/bags/executive.php), but submitted my own design. You have a million options when you do a custom bag, and can even submit a design to embroider on the front.

  5. I recently bought a filson bag from Steven Alan, but it wasn't big enough for what I needed it it for. When I tried to return it they said they could only give me store credit. Now I'm stuck with a gift card for $355.47 and I don't really want anything else from there. I'll sell the card for $300, I'll even deliver it to your door. There's also a phone number on the card you can call to check the balance, so you'll know I'm not ripping you off. The gift card does not work for online orders.

  6. I bought a 100% wool watch cap from banana republic that fit really loose and had about 1.5 inches I would have to fold over. I soaked it in super hot water for almost an hour and now it is an super tight beanie. It also remained very soft and is now my favorite hat. That being said, I wouldn't experiment with anything you're afraid you might ruin.

  7. I just recently did this; get one of these BR beanies then just unfold the cuff and bam you have a very nice slouchy beanie.

I did the same as ko, but the BR doesn't fit as nicely as I would like. Does anyone know a website or store that sell Topman beanies and will deliver to the states?

    Thanks, C

  8. I just realized there was a thread about how great 2000dB is. Got my current favorite article of clothing from him when it was completly sold out in the states, super fast too. Thanks again!
