rode my mountain bike on a group ride last night (nooooo idea why). And I forgot how much fun mountain bikes can be, just not sticking to smooth road while riding, cutting up into grass etc.

As far as more touristy shit you might do, skip out on the ruins, unless you really have to see them. Long trip out there, and don't exactly know if it's worth the time or $$.

Go scuba diving. Don't know if you're certified, but if you aren't theres a ton of good snorkeling as well. Go on a night dive, and a day dive. You'll see so much different stuff, the night dive is amazing as well, you get a flashlight, and see a ton of different sea life. Also, bioluminescent fish or whatever, turn off your lights and stir up the water, you'll see a bunch of little glowing 'sparkles'.

Not hot at all in my opinion, but dig in.

Her Japanese is not that great. It's obviously not bad, but it's nothing worth freaking out about. She comes across as super fucking fake to me.

Those rims are actually lighter than deep v's if I recall correctly. Which I suppose could be interpreted as, not as strong.

I personally like them. But if I see them too much, it could start to get annoying.

One of the most unique jean jackets I've ever seen. Doesn't fit, but I'm still not even sure I want to sell it.

I used to have my chain real tight all of the time, just because it felt more secure or something.

Now I keep it looser, always a little play in the chain. It just rolls so much smoother and when I go back to a tighter tension it feels like the bike is resisting.

.5-1 inch doesn't sound like a problem to me.

I feel like if the pockets just didn't have the flap covering the top it'd fix the problem, although change the aesthetic a bit.

Seriously, people can use their bikes however they want, as long as they get ridden I couldn't care less.

Granted, playing polo on that bike seems like a disaster waiting to happen. I'd hate to see someone take out your front wheel or something.

Whatever though. Some of the fastest guys I know ride entry level track bikes or conversions, and some ride an assortment of bikes that I'd love to get my hands on.

Oh yeah, I'm selling my mountain bike for 700$ ish, so am gonna be on the lookout for a more standard geometry track bike soon.

tires are a very personal subject, you'll find. There is no accepted standard for tires. A lot of people ride everwears, which I don't really like too much since I feel they ride sluggish, gatorskins are a good compromise, but wore through a little faster than I thought they would and are $$, michelin speediums are what I have now, and they ride nice and aren't too expensive, but I've heard they wear out pretty fast.

Honestly though, if you are using the brake to stop, or riding flat terrain and have no need to skip or skid then you really don't need to sacrifice ride quality for durability.

it's called toe overlap. A lot of people have it. My bike is a few cm's away from pedal overlap.

Just be careful when going slow and it shouldn't be any kinda of a problem.

Anybody else do alleycats or anything similar? Was pretty nervous at first, but they're a hell of a lot of fun. Got 3rd at the 'posses on broadway' shit in seattle last weekend. Good fast race, despite a few friends getting pulled over twice during the same race.

One word of warning, I know someone who got into a lot of shit for doing stuff like this. A friends sister put up a similar 'i want to suck as much dick as possible in 24 hours' type of craigslist add for a girl she hates, including addresses and phone numbers, after a number of guys called or just showed up, she called the police and they traced the ip for the ad and the girl got in a lot of shit. Obviously not jail time, but enough to make me want to never do that kinda prank.

Though, given the circumstances, I doubt this kid is gonna want to go to the police..

What are some good road bikes that can sometimes be picked up for steals? I'm looking to spend max 500$, and am generally looking at 90's frames from trek/cannondale, and older italians.

So, this is one piece that I really want to keep, but it just doesn't fit right, and I hate having it go unused.

It's a Final Home sample jean jacket. Only one of it's kind, I've seriously never seen another even kind of like it.

From last season, has the collar that Final Home has been using, tall, with a great closure military i dont' know the word thing.

The material is badly represented in the lighter photo, it's not as dark as repro jean jackets, but it's still an indigo color with an almost metallic sheen.

Final Home size M- which is like a US Medium/Large, but has fairly slim arms.

200$ (bought for close to 300 last jan/dec have only worn a handful of times.)
