Not any real progress since I last posted but I did progress to find a proper camera to take pictures of my jeans. All the pictures I had posted previously were taken from my phone. So heres a picture, from which I beleive the colours are quite accurate.

Yeah, I think the price is reasonable if you buy online, the jeans fit better than most japanese repro jeans if you ask me...

I didn't size down, I got my normal japanese size, which is 31. In hindsight, I would have got a 30.

Good topic I think, I've been a moderator at mynudies for a while now, so feel free to PM any nudie questions and I will gladly assist if I can .
Probably best to email me at [email protected]

Thanks for the comments and rep guys. I'd just like to point out, to those asking. I do not have abnormal knees!! I don't know why I get so much fading on my knees, but I think it has to do with the way I sit, which is one legged crossed over the other.
Cheers!

Yeah use a lot, the salt is why beach washes are so popular!

well apprently it helps to keep the indigo in, vinegar does the same. But I didn't want to risk my jeans smelling funky after washing.

I dunno if this really belongs here, but if you guys want to check out a bunch of faded pairs of 5010 6x6s then have a look at the skull contest voting page and feel free to vote also!

thanks

Put them in dryer for 20 minutes inside out. They'll become soft after that. Maybe even soak them first to get some starch out. Mine are limp as now, give it time if you can be patient.

After 1st wash to get out the shrinkage 30c temp, Sept 07
Length shrunk a good 2 inches, quite suprising, not much shrinking anywhere else though.
Oct 07 - 1 months wear - everyday
The first time I wore them out. Sept 07

Yeah 6x6, it has the black patch. The 7x6 has a tan coloured patch.

Another pic
Some stats -
one year old, part of the skull jeans contest I organised at mynudies.com
washed once when I got them at 30c
washed again at 9 months at 40c
wore them 6 days a week on average probably, even less than that the past couple months
I'm a student, wear these mainly to uni. Had only one stitch problem in my crotch which i repaired myself.
Great jeans overall, nice modern fit compared to most japanese denim.
