  1. My English seems retarded in that last post, that sentence makes no sense!

DDML: My legs do bend (alot even) but I used to iron my raw jeans every once in a while (GASP!!!), I guess honeycombs never got a chance to set. I developed this rather peculiar habit when I noticed that by ironing my jeans would get that crispy, stiff, raw (like new) feeling back, wich I really liked at that time, and I just continued doing that even when they were properly worn in already. When I stopped doing that it was already too late.

  2. I know this isn't really what people on here get excited about but I thought they're interesting enough to post them.

Going for a bit different wear than just defined combs and whiskers (also I didn't have a clue that there were names for the wear on ones jeans back then), I wanted to try to really just let them be and see what time would do to them. I liked the way they looked all destroyed and intentionally not repaired them.

I believe everyone knows what these look like raw and besides I don't have before pics.

    - Evisu's EV001 (more of the "made in Italy but before EU ed.") with painted gulls

    - Worn for god knows how long everyday (and quite some nights too) I believe they're 6 or 7 years old, not 100% sure though

    - first wash after a year and a half or so and numerous soaks and machine washes after that

    - had to patch the holes at the front pockets and at the back above the right pocket 'cause it was getting a bit too "cold". I did use Japanese Evis denim to patch them up ('cause I am an idiot!) Invisibly stitched it so it would look like a fresh pair of jeans under a destroyed pair, originally planned to patch all holes this way

    - top button fell off, used a big safety pin to keep them in place, one beltloop fell off

    - etc. etc.

  3. for Hewsinator and familyman, the not so standard answers:

They're by Bernhard Willhelm, and I got them at his last samplesale, they were never produced because they would've ended up way too expensive in retail and are one of the two sample pairs made. There's only one other pair like them!

^ "sort of cool looking"??? The're great, but the picture make's them look sort of geeky, I'll see if I can post a pic of them on.

    *Blisters*

  4. Just started wearing these today 'cause it's finally "cold enough".

Am curious how these are going to look as they're a bit too new for my liking at the moment.

    And, yes, they are green!

    dscn3552gf1.jpg

Hmmm.... Not the best picture, it makes the shaft look huge and the nose tiny. The nose is quite slim though.

  5. Thought I'd post these up here, no before pictures unfortunatly.

Worn on and off for about 2 years and after that almost everyday for about 2 more.

First soak at year and a half, after that about every 9 months, first machine wash about 3 months ago.

It's the model with the kimono silk on the turn ups, it's made in italy but way before all that Evisu EU crap. Basicly the first Evisu you could get here. They started my raw denim love, still have an untouched pair waiting for me.

Not that happy with how they turned out, stopped wearing them.

  6. Ah, so it is possible to make jeans that:

    - have all the features that everyone one here dreams about (minus natural indigo)

    - are quite limited, "only 217"

    - retail for only 1099sek/140USD/120E/15700Yen

    ??????

    How is this possible?

Weren't we paying for small runs, quality etc.? Isn't that exactly what these jeans are?

Just wondering what people on here think about this.

  7. @ poly: I wasn't hating on those two, I just think there are a lot more interesting brands out there that also deserve some shine. I realise that thesere not for everybody and I think that's already quite interesting, basicly all the jeans discussed on this board are not for everybody and then you have the dders who seem to be considered too extreme, even for most people here. I'm just curious about these ''mysterious" jeans, but the fact that this thread disappeared so quickly again shows that I am a bit on my own. That's all good though!

  8. That's what I suspected already.

I think these are too goofy to become a real hype.

But lets do it this way then, anyone with Duckdigger pics/stories, pm me. That way I'l also know exactly who to contact when I have questions about them.

    Thanks

ps. I suspect Joe Mc Coys to become the next hype if you look at the pics just posted in the evolution of jeans thread. heh heh

  9. Just wanted to say that I think it's funny, how this dders thread is slowly dissapearing again (like the others before it), when people can't seem to get enough of Nudie/APC etc threads, while in my opinion there's still so much more to say about these jeans.

I know some people on here own them, show us some pictures, tell us some good stories about them!

  10. Freakingfinally!

A Duckdiggers thread, now lets hope that this one is here to stay. I've done a thousand searches and either the threads dissapear or the pictures in posts don't work anymore. These truly have something mysterious about them!

Haven't been able to find pictures of a naturally worn in pair, for example.

The reason for my excitment is the fact that ever since I set my eye on these I've wanted a pair real bad. But there was hardly any info about them on either of the SF's (for as far as I could find)

My question to you Miz, does BIG have all models, 'cause if I remembered correctly I didn't see the 20's or the 40's on the site? And what about the duck 1880 one's?

I'm personally not sure what to think of the 20's and 40's. I think I like the more oldschool workwear looking types better. But the reinforcement stitching on these is beautifull! Just not sure about the back pocket shape.

    Hmmmm?

That's it for now, probably more questions in the future since I would have to get these over the net if I finally decide wich model I want.

oh and anyone who also owns them, pictures please!

ps. you don't necessarily need to get suspenders for the beltloop-less models, just have to shrink them to exactly your size, they might stretch a little but hey, you've always got the cinch! This worked perfect for me on the LVC "first blue jeans."

  11. Don't know if you guys now about it already, as I couldn't find it on here:

    https://own-magazine.com/store/

They stock Skull, Somet and Warehouse among others. Thing is they have quite a weird selection in my opinion.

Also they have some Duckdiggers that I've never seen and the details on all of them seem off/odd to me. Patch I've never seen , cinch from the 1900's on all models, triple stitching. Anyone can shed some light on this, new models? fake's?

I'm at work right now so I don't have the link to the official Warehouse site and I can't seem to find it, so I'm not able to check it there.

edit: turns out they are just new models http://ware-house.co.jp/index.php?page=items&cp=557 a 20's and a 40's Duckdigger, still surprised by the change in details though.

  12. I posted this in the "what about jeans jackets" topic but nobody seemed to care so I decided to start a topic for it after all since I really would like to know a bit more about my jacket .

Oh and "Hi, I'm new", for the ones who didn't yet see me in action in the "addicted to LVC topic" http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showpost.php?p=183472&postcount=65

Bump! Didn't think it was necessary to start a new topic for this.

Just a question, I recently picked this up in a secondhand store.

I like it alot and was wondering if anyone could tell me abit more about it. Some LEE experts? It must be a LEE gold label reissue

This is what I know so far:

    - Loco Jacket

    - must be post '46 since it says Can't Bust 'Em

That's not much, also all Loco jackets I'm able to find pictures of have two breast pockets, why doesn't this one?

Anyone more info about this model? When? Why? Etc.

    Thanks!

Anyone who can tell me more?

    Thanks in advance!
