  1. Updated with some measurements for those interested

Front Rise is a bit under 10"

    Back Rise is 13"

    Length - 32.5"

    Thigh - 12"

    Leg Opening - 8.25"

Also, I'm going to be out for the weekend with no Internet access until Sunday night, so feel free to send me PM's with questions or if you're interested, but I will not be able to respond until the weekend is over.

  2. The front rise is about a quarter inch longer than RR's. The back rise/ass on the Samurai's is about the same, if not a quarter/half inch shorter. Honestly, these fit REALLY close to RRDS, but with a straighter, somewhat slimmer leg. The denim, however, is leaps and bounds above anything I've seen or touched.

I'm going by how they feel worn, rather than straight measurements. If you would like exact measurements, I'll get them for you, it's just that I, some how, don't have anything in my apartment to measure them with :o.

  3. Measurements should be on www.blueingreesoho.com. Note that I've had these one washed through BiG's service, so all the soaking/pre-shrinking stuff has been taken care of.

You won't want to see fit pics of me in these, as they are way too tight in the waist and have huge hip flares if I try and slide them down. But, in general, they fit kind of like an APC new standard without the taper, or like a RRDS but not as full of a cut, if that makes any sense? A lot of it also depends on how you like to wear them and if you size down or not.

There are some great fit pics in the denim gallery, in superdenim. The first page has a listing and there are a lot of really well broken in s5000vx's on there. The denim is insane and gives an amazing fade, just sucks that the waist is too tight for me.

If I was too vague, give me a heads up and I'll try and answer your question more precisely. Thanks!

  4. Just a heads up - I'm selling a pair of new sized 30 s5000vx on supermarket. Worn twice around the apartment for a few hours to try and stretch em out. Just way too tight for me and although the denim is the most amazing shit I've ever seen/felt, the fit just does not work with how I like to wear my jeans. The hip flare is rediculous when slouched and I feel like I'm wearing MC Hammer pants. Anyway, if your interested, hit me up in a PM. I'll have pictures up later tonight.

  5. I think I finally have all this sizing mumbo jumbo figured out, but just curious about something. For those saying they sized down 1, is this from your typical size or from your raw jean size? I pretty much wear a 31 in all non-raw jeans, but size down to a 30 for my raw stuff. I'm looking to get a pair of MIJ 21cm's and am not going for the super skinny look and wear most of my jeans loose in the waist/slouched on the hips, but I also don't want them to be super baggy/sloppy, more of a somewhat slim straight leg. Am I safe in assuming that sticking with my raw jean size (ie sized down 1 from what I would normally wear) is the way to go, or are most sizing down an additional size from what they usually wear in raws?

  6. definitely size down at least one. remember dior raws measure about 1.5" larger than marked in the waist, and still stretch. if you can get them from a source that accepts returns/exchanges then feel free to experiment.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably just size down one. I wear pretty much all my jeans really low and sag them a ton. I'm not going for a super slim fit, and don't mind a straight fit. I find that with a lot of my dry jeans, I either size down one or stay true to size, let them stretch, and wear them a bit loose.

  7. Selling a new pair of of Samurai S5000vx sized 30, for $225. I ordered them through BiG and they have gone through the one wash service and I also have had them hemmed to 32.5" in length. I've worn them around the apartment for about two hours three times. Simply, they are way too tight for me in the waist, and the cut just is not flattering with how I like to wear my jeans. You know the drill, insanely good denim and great construction/details.

Please PM me if interested and I'll respond as soon as I possibly can.

    Thanks!

  8. I picked up a slim fit tiger from this season, from peasant, and it def. is a bit slimmer and a few cunthairs shorter than the same sized tiger from last season. They do have some give/stretch to them though, so I'm not worried.

I also got the western and it fits perfect. Slim and close to the body, and nice and slim in the arms. The details are great and the fabric is soft as hell. If you're debating picking one up and you can find one in your size, pick it up - you won't regret it.

  9. Man, my 5000vx's are still destroying my hips. Been wearing them around the apartment daily for the last week or so and they've given a little bit, but are still ungodly tight. I only sized down 1 and got my normal dry jean size. Not only that but the hip flare is really noticeable. Am I just paranoid and they will in fact stretch to be comfortable and the hip flare will go down as they soften with wear, or should I probably have just gone with my regular size?

  10. How exactly do SDA's fit? I'm used to wearing jeans with a somewhat fuller cut (RRDS, Samurai sv5000, etc) and I'm looking for my next pair to be somewhat slimmer, but not apc/dior/etc... slim. Will the 103's fit the bill?

  11. Hey guys, just got my first pair of sams a couple of days ago (S5000VX) and they have, by far, the nicest denim out of any pair of jeans I own. A quick question on sizing though. I decided to go with a size 30, since I have some RRDS that fit like a glove and are of the same size, but god damn are these sams tight. So tight that I can't even get the last two buttons up, unless I sling them up around my waist (I usually slouch my jeans around my hips) button them, and squish them down. My hips were bruised after I tried em on the first time. I got them one washed through BiG's service, so they have had the shrinking taken care of.

I know they are supposed to be tight when first worn and will stretch out eventually, as has been the experience with my other dry denim, but will these actually stretch out to the point where I'll be able to actually button them and wear them without some sort of circulation problem?

I know some people on here went with their same Nudie size as well and I guess I just want some reassurance that I'll actually be able to wear these without having to sell them and size up.

  12. Tony what size are you normally? If you're a size 30, you should wear them around for a while till they stretch. Im normally size 32 and Im going to buy a 31 because I'm pretty sure the whiskering and honeycombs will look a lot better (especially the whiskers). I know I wont be able to button them up for at least a week or two but my 32 dukes have stretched up to around 33 now but they dont feel loose.

I fluctuate between 30 and 31 depending on the jean. I usually wear my jeans pretty low, on my hips, so I need a decent amount of stretching (most of the time) until they can be pushed down and fit well. That or I wear them on my hips, with the top button undone, until they stretch out. However, I can't even get the 2nd to last button done, let alone the top button and they are just crushing.

I figured I'd size down from my normal 31, to get somewhat of a snugger/skinnier fit, but I definitely need at least a 31 or even a 32 possibly, to get them to fit the way I like them. Take homi's advice, sizing down on these things probably isn't a great idea, espeically if you are an inbetweener such as myself.

Also, I'm bumping the price down to $220 and I should have pictures up by tonight or tomorrow in the buying and selling forums

  13. Looking to sell a brand new pair of raw indigo Imperial Dukes, size 30 for $235 (not including S+H). They have not been worn, save to try on, and are in perfect condition. Simply, they are way too tight for me and are barely buttonable past the first button. I'll be putting pics up asap, I just have to borrow a digital camera first. If you are interested, please send me a PM and I'll be working on getting those pictures up.

  14. I'm looking to sell a pair of size 30 raw indigo dukes (they are simply too tight and unbuttonable past the 1st button for me) for $235 (not including S+H). They are brand new and never worn (save to try on). I'll be posting pics as soon as I get hold of a digital camera. If you're interested just throw me a PM and I'll get some pics up asap.

  15. Him and Marcus started up Primal Urge tattaoo again. His waiting list is over 2 years now. Everlast is another good shop in the city

Damn, I called him up about a year ago to see if he was coming to the EC for any of the conventions, because if he was I wanted to get some work, but alas he wasn't and he was booked about a year in advance. I guess it doesn't matter much for me anyway, as getting my back done is probably a good 5-6 years off anyway, so I can plan accordingly, but I hope he continues to take new clients and whatnot. Nice to see that Marcus is now contactable and is working in a studio again. His shit is still as dope as it was 10+ years ago.
