i'm going to segue way here, from sart event at Andrew McConnell’s recently opened Cutler and Co, to dining in Melbourne (sidetracking from our love of high end Jap and Euro goods)...
So, does anyone eat out much? I'm trying to more and more. Most recent meals that have been good have been:
Von Haus (relaxed casual (W/D)ining.
Rumi (amazing middle eastern food, up the road from me)
Mo Vida Next Door (the more casual version of the impossible to book Mo Vida)
I really want to check out:
Helenic Republic (another one in my neck of the woods, apparently really good greek food and a great dining experience)
Cumulus Inc another AMac restaurant on Flinders Way
Will return soon to:
Cookie always great thai style seafood and other favourites (like the fried chicken)
Yu-u one of the better Japanese casual dining restaurants in Melbourne
Anyone have any good reviews / tips / favourites?
My last trip to Melbourne in November was a bit of a culinary excursion, some of the places I went to (in 4 days):
Movida Next Door
Cumulus Inc
The Press Club
The European
Gills Diner
Shoya
My favourite was Movida, the eggplant chips and ox tongue were the standout dishes. The Press Club does a great 4 course lunch on the weekends, the desserts can be boxed for take away if you get too full (like we were). I also wanted to try Seamstress and Flower Drum but missed out.

Looks ok for going out but I wouldn't wear it for a formal occasion. Need something more classic.

^ that jacket is pretty dope but I'm not a fan of the shoulder zip

I think it fits pretty true to size, I'm glad I ordered the S and not XS

I couldn't decide whether to order the varsity jacket in XS or S...I ended up ordering it in S, let's hope it fits.

I dunno how the prices at the webstore are so expensive, the pricing at Incu is pretty reasonable...eg $149 for a crewneck sweatshirt

I read in the sun herald that acne will be opening their flagship store in paddington during May. I think that the brand makes some nice basics so I'd be interested to visit the store once it opens.

Does your job require you to wear a suit? What is your budget?
Herringbone is your best option, go to their store in Circular Quay as the QVB store is tiny and won't have the entire range. Otherwise I would suggest Paul Smith suits which are stocked in Incu and David Jones.

Up for sale are Dior Homme white hi top canvas sneakers. These have been worn but are in excellent condition with plenty of life in them left (I'd rate them 8/10 but check my pics). I wear US8.5 in chucks for reference. No box but comes with dust bag. These are from S/S 2007 when Hedi Slimane was still designing. Asking price for 160USD shipped worldwide.

Asking price is SOLD. Practically brand new, only worn once to try on around the house. I still have the tags somewhere in my room. Paypal accepted
Measurements for size small:
Pit to pit: 18.5 inches
shoulder to shoulder: 17 inches
sleeve from the shoulder seam to the wrists: about 25 1/2 inches long.

I will post my own pics later tonight. Borrowed pic from an old superfuture sale thread:

new summer stuff on website
for those wondering about the varsity / bomber jacket - price is 220 euros (and almost sold out). Much more expensive than I thought it would be, I was expecting around the 170-180 euro mark. Anyone handled it in person?
