my new Leader 736R frame, think i'm gunna build it up into a new racing bike in the next couple of months

dreaming of Ultegra, or possibly a Campy if i'm really lucky

  2. is that the same as a fuji track pro? looks good.

    what type of aluminum? 6066?

its 7005 aluminum, and made in Canada so no its not the same as the Fuji. Best 450 ive ever spent for a frame.

  3. I guess it will be available through their website , just as their 'whiskey cat' jeans.

what i really need are measurements; I usually have to downsize a bit with Warehouse (3 sizes 660 and two sizes duckdigger secret)

what are the differences between the 1000xx and 1001xx denim; or is it just the cut that is different?

I believe the only difference is where the cotton comes from, I think Memphis for the 1001's and I forget about the 1000's. I went true to size on my 1001xx's and was happy with the fit( classic 50's straight leg). I think i would have to buy another pair if I had the chance.

  4. For sizing im a 10.5 in sneakers and I grabbed a 10, and they are pretty much perfect, maybe a little snug. In all honesty the soles are pretty shitty on snow/ice but they keep my feet dry which was my biggest concern. Fit pics as requested.

lost the selvege on these onis when I got them tapered unfortunately.

  5. They did have arcs and a red tab(see pic) arcs are pretty much gone and there is only a little piece of the red tab left which you can barely see. They were bought off hinoya ages ago, I think they were around 250 give or take 20 bucks. Memphis cotton. Denim is definitely heavier than my 44's and gives a more contrasty streakier fade. Also the WH have a bit more of a vintage looking yellowish tinge when faded.

  6. There is an intriguing philosophical question here.

Which product embodies an old jean better - one made by the original company, with denim made by the original supplier, which is inconsistent like the original, with mistakes like the original made to a price? (I can't remember specifically, but I wonder if they only give us hand-hammered rivets on some modesl due to budgetary reasons).

Or a hand-made replica produced in Japan, with even the tiniest details correct?

Personally, one thing I'd like to see more of on this thread is good worn-in examples of some of the better Warehouse and SC replicas.

Heres my retired 1001xx's. Easily the best pair of jeans I have ever owned.. wish they didn't stop making them.

And another wash of my 44's, these are going on the backburner for awhile so they don't completely fall apart

  8. Im contemplating between the expedition parka and the constable parka, is the constable parka any less bulky? Equally as warm? It will have to handle Alberta winters (which make toronto winters seem tropical)
