  1. Possibly a pair of LVC's from another season faked to be 555's?

Besides the sloppy stamp and blank zip, they look fine, I have 3 pairs of 505's with selvage that looks similar. Maybe someone just stamped '555' on the button so they could sell them for more. Denim looks fine too, none of my 505's are hairy, they are slick and shiny like APC's.

  2. also, what was the name of the DC that were all black with a huge DC sign at the heel, those were really nice also.

i really miss that era, skate shoes companies were really pushing it in terms of innovation and design, while i have almost completely lost interest now cause i find shoes to be boring.

if i go get my mags, i'll have to start a i miss 90s skate wear, and scan all those late Droors ad before they got sold to World Industries. they had the checkered ad with half the squares with a sequences and the other with the pro rocking some Droors gear, which is like my holy grail. The Droors lines of that era where just soooo nice

DC's were Rudy Johnson 2's. So good.

Droors wear was okay but mostly it was just bites of Polo gear, still pretty cool though. The real shit was Elwood and Forties, if anyone remembers that.

I'll look for some other gems later, scan some stuff.

  3. I'll chime in... I got a buddy who collects Howard 2's and Axion Aries(Mariano 2's).

He's got like 20-30 pairs in deadstock condition, pretty amazing.

Props to whoever mentioned Dukes - the first Wray's looked amazing.

Anyone remeber Rudy 2's? They had the big DC logo on the side - so sick.

  4. My question would be WHY? Why recreate a historic jean and not keep to the original pattern? THe reason these jeans are classic is they're not slave to fashion trends. Looks nutty to me. In my opinion you make fashion trend jeans from your other lines not you historic line.

If you take a closer look you will notice that they offer both an original and customised version. I doubt many people would consider that lowering the rise on a pair of 505's(which originally had a higher rise than 501's) constitutes slavery to fashion trends. These jeans are not only great for their historic significance, but also their wearability.

  5. What's up with the coin pocket on the '83 models? Also seems like the '71 tag should not have a big E. I bet the '71s have a cool fit, though.

LVC Japan releases "customised" jeans; in some cases, as in this '83 model, the rise has been lowered and as a result the coin pocket sits higher and overlaps the waistband. The "weird off-centred patch" is simply a patch of denim that is sewn in as an indication of this alteration. LVC japan does this to a number of model which originally had quite a high rise: 505, 606, 519 etc...

  6. Absolutely deadstock, new with tags. These are from the 2004 season. 'R' stamped on waist button, scovill zip. Size 30 x 34, fits very true to size, slightly on the small size.

Full measurements and pics on request. I am asking $150 shipped within N. America for these.

  7. "my sole is on the ground

when im walking down the street"

    slip ons

    skate hi

    skate lo

    eras

    rowley 1

    prison issue high (thanks diamonds)

    greco 2s

    half cabs

    chukkas

By skate lo do you mean old skools?

I'm gonna add Lampins(also called 86er's), Fairlanes, Monks, Fowls and Chukka Lo's(might be called something else) to the list. Oh, Agahs too. I guess these are all outdated models but they're worth mentioning.
