  1. Last night at a East African / Caribbean place called "Jambo" (I forgot to post):

Fried Plantains with Cinnamon and Curry Sauce

    IMGP0044-3.jpg

    Sweet Potato Fries with Curry

    IMGP0045-3.jpg

Lamb Stew with Chutney and Couscous.

    IMGP0048-2.jpg

    Goat Stew with Basmati Rice

    IMGP0049-2.jpg

    Mango Cobbler

    IMGP0051-1.jpg

    Today at Tacos los Idiolos:

Tacos: tripitas, lengua, y carne asada; mexican and cilantro rice, with pico and lime on the side

    IMGP0004-8.jpg

Cheese enchiladas, mexican and cilantro rice, guac, pico, and a side of beans:

  2. My APC Petit Standards and I went to Yoberri for a treat today.

    (x-posted from WAYET)

This place makes incredible frozen yoghurt.

I'm normally not a frozen yoghurt person. Give me gelato most any day... but it's all home made, fresh every day. No artificial flavours, it's all fresh berries and whatnot for flavouring. The waffle cones are made by the owners husband and are possibly the best waffle cones I've ever had.

Today they had Chocolate Almond and a home made hot fudge made from dark chocolate with a nice intense chilli spice.

Sarah got a cone... but I needed hot chilli chocolate fudge, and I couldn't miss out on the cone either... so hot fudge and cone chips were my order of the day.

    Delicious.

    IMGP0008-6.jpg

This place also happens to be attached to a little vintage store... so it's a two for one for us.

In the vintage shop I found this cool Pendleton Jacket.

I think it's pretty old. I'm not really sure if I should get it... it's only $40, but I dunno if I like the look.

    IMGP0012-6.jpg

Later on I saw this and thought y'all would get a kick out of it...

    IMGP0023-2.jpg

Then I came home and hot soaked them because they waist is getting really baggy.

Now I have switched into a pair of APC New Cures and we are getting ready to go to dinner and a movie... more pics later.

  4. It snowed again, so my 660s and I bundled out and headed out this morning for breakfast.

    IMGP0001-8.jpg

Sarah decided she wanted to scrape the car... I finally wrestled the scraper away from her after this picture and finished while she warmed up the inside.

    IMGP0002-9.jpg

We then went to Tecolote Cafe

Now we are back and cozy while the fire roars and the dog sleeps on the foot of the bed.

  5. We went to a little breakfast/lunch place we like to go to called Tecolote Cafe.

Its a New Mexican greasy spoon sort of place that has been featured on that Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives... but the food is good.

    IMGP0003-8.jpg

I got the Sheepherder's Breakfast: Boiled red potatoes, jalapeno, onion, smothered in red and green chile, topped with two eggs over easy and cheese:

Sarah got Huevos Yucatecos: Two corn tortillas layered with black beans, scrambled eggs, smothered in green chile with feta and jack cheese and pico, with grilled banana, and posole on the side (the empty basket had muffins and biscuits in it that come free with the entrees):

And a close up of the banana.

    Green Chile Corn Chowder

Mushroom Stew with Kalamata Olive Bread

    Cuban Sandwiches with Garden Salads

    Peach Crisp

From a little salad focused bistro called Vinaigrette.

Most everything is locally grown, home made...

    and cheap.

  7. Saturday morning is Farmers Market. Today I took my APC Petit Standards with me.

The market is smaller in the winter, but in the summer there are about a hundred stalls outside in addition to the main hall.

    IMGP0013.jpg

    IMGP0001.jpg

Locally made and hand dyed yarns

    IMGP0002.jpg

We bought some arugula and carrots here

    IMGP0003.jpg

This feta is amazing, really wonderful. The gouda is quite nice too. I bought some feta.

    IMGP0004.jpg

I bought some bread here. Sarah bought a cookie.

    IMGP0005.jpg

We bought some apple cider here. The apple supply is diminishing here...

    IMGP0007.jpg

The guy on the left is one of Sarah's professors at a rather prestigious college... never woulda guessed it.

    IMGP0008.jpg

This garlic/arugula "flat" bread was good. We bought a loaf.

    IMGP0009.jpg

I got some heirloom tomatoes to use in an insalata caprese.

    IMGP0010.jpg

I don't have pictures, but we also bought some home made tamales and took them home for lunch.

I would post pics of me in my jeans, but those can be found in the denim version of WAYWT.

  8. I dislike the whole thing.

The hat looks silly with the straight brim and the colouration/pattern is off.

You look like you are wearing a kids backpack.

Your friend is wearing atrocious shoes.

Given the streetwear/hipster skater vibe I'm getting off the picture, I would assume that the Game Boy is a prop (albeit a prop with some possible use) more than anything else

Also, if you truly are looking for "the golden age of handheld gaming" you should he holding an original gameboy rather than the colour version.

All that being said... who cares? Its your thing and there are people on here who dig that sort of stuff. More power to you. I'm more than sure that plenty of people on here dislike what I wear. Different strokes.

And threatening to stomp something is just lame.

    No.

    Bad SUFUer.

    Bad.
