  1. This is a shot in the dark. I'm changing jobs and will have the last two weeks of June off, so I'm going to try to throw a trip to Patagonia together. Anyone have any experience? I don't even know if it's a good time of year to go. It's winter now, but is winter doable there? Any info would be great. Thanks!

  2. I want a cool paclite, I'm tired of being dry only for a while. Something fancier than a North Face but not $800 Acronym or Nonnative would be nice. If not I'll just get a Circadian or something.

Check out the Arcteryx Beta SL. For $250. Crazy light. Breathes really well, but warm enough to wear in the 30s and 40s with some layers. I haven't gotten a chance to really test the waterproof in a downpour for more than a few minutes, but it's kept me dry.

  3. kingston looks good. it's one of the only two-tone heads i like. but sub homages are a bad idea... same thing with the seafighter. seeing it just makes me want to find a blancpain bund.

  4. I'd be down for an ironbound meet up. My boys parents run a pizza joint down there.

word, right by my office, so i might actually be able to come to this one. what's your parent's place?

  5. Surprises me. He never seemed to post anything ban worthy, but i only stick to a couple of threads..

made fun of soxfan, hap peaced him.

no you're not. Those decks all look lame and will probably sit on shelves for months. (anti-hype)

artist decks are instant hype. plus, there's boobies involved in this one.

really excited to see the tee that will be released with the decks.

  6. same here don't know why but I think G's with natos don;t look right.

I'm not a fan of square G's but the GW-5000B is mighty tempting

yea, nato+gshock doesn't work. they make nato converters for gshocks. little rubber things that you screw into the lugs and thread the strap through. never tried, but they look ugly as hell.

  7. How much SHOULD it cost to have my kinetic Omega Speedmaster repaired?

My wife brought it in some years ago and she was quoted at over $500.00. It's been sitting around now for over four years. I hope to bring it with me when I head to A'stan.

hard to say what it should cost without knowing what's wrong with it.

  8. has anyone had experience with the twill pants that are up right now? They look on the slim side of things. Confirm/deny?

a little slimmer than the chinos have been the last couple seasons. also, more light-weight than i thought they'd be.

i just broke down and took it up the butt for the raindrop shorts on crashstreet. fuckin $50 markup. but worth every penny.
