  1. Juliet was looking foyne in the last episode, if I don't say so myself. It's amazing the quantity of great looking people the island was able to gather.

  2. Something I thought I noticed but I'm not sure, maybe someone with DVR can verify/disprove....

In the opening scene, when Jack goes over to Kate, she wakes up and asks him "Are we back on the island?" or something to that effect and he says yes.

Then in the closing scene, when he goes over to Kate and wakes her up, she doesn't ask him that.

Why the hell else would they open the show with that scene just to cut to "45 hours earlier" or whatever, other then to hide some differences. There was no narrative purpose to that choice. The show would have been exactly the same if they had just skipped that part. Did anyone else catch this or anything else different between the opening scene and the closing scene?

  3. Touchgrind came out over the weekend. Shit is amazing. Best iphone game yet. There's a lot of room for improvement so I expect it will get better, but it's a hell of a lot of fun already.

  4. I had dinner at Amada last week. It was pretty good, I would go back to try more small plate dishes. There are a few restaurants that I would like to try out in philly like vetri and osteria. Can anyone comment on those two?

vetri and osteria are owned by the same crew. Vetri is their higher class joint, and it is absolutely spectacular. The food is really special. You'll definitely need a reservation there as it's quite small, and be prepared to drop some pretty serious bills there. If you can swing it, definitely get the tasting menu. They just bring you a bunch of plates of whatever's clever that day.

Osteria is much bigger and cheaper, but the food is fantastic. I had my rehearsal dinner there and it was really amazing.

  5. If you are going to hit Chinatown I hear that Sang Kee Peking Duck House is the best chinese in the city (although I haven't been.)

This is so true it's ridiculous. I'm crying just thinking about it. Their Peeking Duck is one of the best things I've ever tasted.
