  1. saw the "Straight Leg Brown Clay Selvage 5-Pocket Jeans" today at RL flagship store in Tokyo today, and this is definitely the best piece of the denim collection. i would have jumped on them if the retail werent twice the price of the HTC. 30~50% mark up is understandable, but doubling the money is just ridiculous.

they also had some cords there, any plans for getting those in?

  2. I have made a post few weeks back mentioning I'm putting a halt to the service. I don't plan on taking orders for the next two months, so contact other members who are offering their services if you want something from Japan. I will post here when I'm ready to do this again.

  3. somet makes black selvedge models too. stitching is all white, which may be a bit of turn off for some. the fit is awesome on these. slightly slim straight leg that will never get old. PBJ XX-005 is another good choice. being pretty slim the fit isnt for everybody. good deal for the price these are asking. BiG stocks them both.

  4. japanese people, please help.

i just got this email from 2nd, after i confirmed my order with them and all that. can someone translate it for me, the conclusion im getting at is that their saying shits not going to happen.

    今回は残念ながらカード決済が不可能なようです。

    もし今なら大丈夫な場合は再度ご注文をお手数ですがよろしくお願いします。

"it seems we can't file a credit payment with your card. please place another order if you are sure the card has enough balance to handle the order."

  5. it reads

"intangible cultural heritage of Tokushima prefecture, awa-shoai zome. 19onces."

Awa is a city in Tokushima famous for it's own method of natural indigo dyes, which had reached it's status as one fo the best dyes in Japan during the Edo period. I think it is one of the national arts supported by the country.

  6. lol looks like the hordes of 2000db customers are starting to migrate to parachutes. Are we able to make parachutes sick like we did to 2000db from the floods of orders? Only time will tell...

hahaha. i havent noticed much increase in number of orders coming in, but i never imagined the market to be this big...i have enough to purchase 8 roundtrips to NYC from tokyo. and its about time i get a pair of denim for myself too. en route to those pbj blacks!

  7. i may slow this down to a halt for a few weeks soon. i do have other commitments in my personal life, and im currently going through a recruiting process which i really should focus on. i may still take few orders each week but please understand that i may be out of touch from time to time. all of those who placed your orders, i will process the orders and respond in the same timely manner that i have always been.

i am planing to get this thing going again once things have settled down for me. will definitely let you all know when im ready.

  8. just ask the store for one i guess. there isnt much to the actual catalogue really. mine got thrown away in the garbage last week by mistake!

really? i listed to a membership card which requires you to drop a grant a year to recievethe damn thing.

  9. flathead has announced that they will be making changes to their backpocket stitiching and leather tags. the red tab.will most likely no longer be seen on the new design. stocks that are left at stores now are all there will be for the pairs with original designs, so if you are interested get your orders in soon.

  10. cool. i'll probably just leave them alone for the time being, and then see what the 45rpm people have to say when i bring in the jeans in april. hopefully when i go i can get my hands on a pair of these, too:

i'm a little nervous because they haven't restocked the online shop for quite a while...

from what i have seen, their online stores have fairly small stock and that doesnt necessarily reflect what the actualy stores have. i saw those fairly often around here when i went to a couple of 45rpms at the beginning of the year.
