  1. That's a mighty fine watch Allen, are those your 1901's?

    .

Yeah Doc thanks and great catch. These 1901s are very slow to break in. I actually haven't been spending as much time with them as I probably should have either. Went 6 months before they hit water and just had another cold soak a couple of weeks ago but they are starting to come along nicely.

The watch is a 1930s Hamilton and runs great.

  2. it´s really disapointing that prices for lvc jeans raised that high,( that i can´t afford em anymore and even if I could I´d never spent more than 200euro for a pair of blue jeans), and still not able to produce authentic reproductions. the only denim of the total line that came was in use for the early late 90s repros but still didn´t show up with this beatiful slubs...

The 55s from a few years back were both the right weight and really dark in color and match a pair of originals (both were raw unworn) that a guy I know has. I haven't seen the newer ones but Paul had mentioned that even with originals there were variations in weight and color due to the differences in cotton thats available.

  3. Saw the 1922s in the flesh today. Overall impressed, but the pocket bags were a big disappointment. Shallow like the 15s but the fabric of the bags seemed a much lighter weight than what I'm used to.

    Shorty,

    Where did you see them?

  4. Finally ordered 47 501 from cultizm last night. How much shrinkage should I expect from sz 36? Hopefully they will shrink a lot... I want the hem to be below 8.5 inches...I believe they were 9 for raw.

Don't do anything until 10 wet to dry cycles...

  5. I've seen them recently and they didn't look slim to me, they were quite loose like most LVC cinchbacks. They're oversized too.

Paul T has described them briefly in his 501 guide and neither airfrog nor Dr Heech were overly impressed by them according to posts in this thread (if you can find them). The stitching is very pale, almost white and the denim (Cone I believe) was very flat, 2D looking. There's no chainstitched hem either. I'd rather have the '33s but if you can get them for cheap they'd be a good, unusual addition to your growing LVC collection.

They have pics on the aeroleather website too. Hope that's useful.

I sold mine a while back and the stitching is white. Love my 555 33s.

  6. Thanks gentlemen, thanks roy6. Yeah, the jackets got a new lining from Aero (took them three months!), perfect job. They also resew the Levis-Label ;) and, needless to say, I am very proud of this jacket.

Its a freak'n beauty and as Grant pointed out a perfect fit.
