His goat A-2s are amazing.

Both are very good. For an A-2 I tend to prefer horse but I have seen some amazing GW goatskin A-2s also. Waht jacket are you thinking about getting?

Some of LVCs stuff is very good, others aren't. My favs are the 1955 501s, the 20s 201s, 1933 501s, the 1911 333s and the 1905 209 coveralls.

Just heads up. Orvis is now carrying LVC. They have the 1936 type I jacket in a XXL. 1944 1947 1954 & 1966

Bill Kelso's jackets are less expensive than most of the major players and Platon is really upping the game. Their A-2s and Navy jackets are really nice.

First impressions are very positive.

I have a Bill Kelso Willis & Geiger M422 on the way. It was shipped on May 30th. It has an NOS triple stamped Talon M39 that I supplied and also vintage mouton that I supplied. The mouton I sent is medium brown not the light thats shown in this link.

New shots of my GW A-1 taken this AM

Picked up a spare 506XX I found on ebay nwt for half the current asking price of US stores. Came in the mail today and took some quick pix with my phone. Differences between the older jacket (i believe from 2007) and the newer one.... Newer jacket is darker (old one was very turquoise when raw), Made in Turkey label at neck, different font for the lot # and size on the newer jacket, no circled R on the red tab. Not sure the age of the new one, I'd guess post 2009.

I bought some 201s from cinch around 2005 - what was wrong with the arcs? I sold them after I had worn them to death. Looking forward to the new ones later this year.

They had double needle stitching. It should have been single needle.

Its a goodwear leather.
