Anythings going on in Philadelphia tonight / tomorrow?  Anyone from around there have any suggestions on things to do for a first timer - galleries, cheap good eats, coffee, a cocktail if it's not over hyped, same goes for beer.  Basically looking to get a bit of the old culture and a lot of what's new in the city.

I'd recommend North 11th Shoe Repair in Williamsburg.  I've had them do two resole jobs and both have been impeccable.  Turn around can be 24 hours too.

I've also been to Firm Shoe Repair.  Good work, but turnaround is +/- 1 week and they don't listen as well as the guys at N. 11th.  Good work though.  It's on - 116 4th Ave, between 12th St. and 2nd Ave.

Any rec's for a competent shoe repair place?  I went to the best ranked one on Yelp (fuck Yelp) and the heels started peeling off my boots and I've got nails sticking everywhere 3 days later.

 

Need to get a resole done and may stretch my bison Virgils so don't want some joker.

Picked this up for free recently. I'm having trouble identifying the model. I know it's an 82' Yamaha and assuming it's an XJ550. Even called a dealership and gave them the VIN, but didn't have any luck. Probably gotta take it in and have them look. Anyway, any more knowledgeable heads out there have an idea on what it may be based on the image?

Edit: It's an '82 XZ 550. Summer project is now lined up!

I believe that the F/W stuff is starting to show up in the Paris store.  I was there two weeks ago and there was a few selected pieces and some footwear.  I would think that a good amount of it will be there in the next few weeks, at the latest the beginning of September.  The sale season is more or less over and shops are already preparing for La Rentrée.

Anyone know if there's any good shops or local brands to check out?  I'm planning on renting a bike and doing lots of exploring... From what I've heard, Budapest is about 20 years behind in terms of fashion, but you never know...

I'm going to Budapest next week.  Anyone have any new recommendations of things to see or stuff that going on?
