is mw2 still fucked up?

I'll be in NYC sometime in june. Anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking to do something simple, probably black & white.

I called Regino in january and the wait time was about 3 months at that point. that was too long for me but I'd love to get something done by him at some point.

I had a b&w piece done by Yoni Zilber at Adorned in brooklyn and was really happy.

i read earlier in the thread that a lot of people have advanced task killer, and i was wondering what the reason is. also, what is power control plus for? does it just tell you where your battery usage is going?

advanced task killer is used to kill processes/apps. I suppose it potentially saves a little battery to have less apps running in the background, or not? but in this case you of course shouldn't have the killer itself running constantly, just launch it to kill apps and then close it.

power control plus is similar to the stock power control widget but you can modify it. I think its great as it allows to control various often used settings from your desktop, without having to go through menus. like enabling wifi, 3G when travelling, GPS, screen brightness and so on. and yea you can also include battery % in one of the buttons. there are plenty of configurations to have whichever settings you need the most.

there seem to be two issues at hand here:

1. firstly the confusion with the item itself, the seller apparently made a mistake in the description (with the season?), and the buyer made the wrongful assumption that there was something wrong with the item. its hard and pointless to blame this on either one, seems like an error in communication to me.

2. the matter of filing a claim and cancelling the transaction. the first and foremost thing should be for both to communicate with each other and try to resolve the situation. a claim should only be filed if there is no conclusion otherwise.

where I think alisz did wrong is filing the dispute at the same time while attempting to sell the jeans - this will easily seem like you are looking to scam even if you are not. if you are unhappy with the item you should first communicate with the seller, if that doesn't work out then choose if you want to file a dispute or just sell the jeans. if you file a claim with paypal, a possible result is reversing the transaction and sending the item back, at this point you shouldn't be selling them.

well, that argument for Canon is legit, as a general advice I would always say go with the camera manufacturer instead of the generic electronic maker. of course, Sony already has plenty of experience with cameras, but still I would prefer Canon or Nikon for this reason. and I don't see any notable advantage with the Sony to be honest, if I remember right the price is nearly identical.

the 550D seems to be superior in terms of image quality, sharpness as well as high ISO performance. heres a couple of comparison crops from dpreview:

I don't think these phones need a ton of aftermarket stuff. I think I have only a few that are must haves - an agenda widget to show a calendar on the desktop, power control plus which is just a slightly improved version of the stock one, and facebook. all the rest are something I could easily live without and still get plenty out of the phone.

not sure if you want to sync in order to back up or actually keep in constant sync with your computer, but if its just for back up the simplest way is to export contacts to the SD card and sync the calendar with google.

I guess its shitty design. don't remember this being such a factor in mw2, there was lag obviously but not every game was like this, and it didn't seem to make one team so superior.

Black Ops has almost returned to normal for me, can finally play regular games without insane lag and other strange shit.

however, it still seems like the host plays a massive role in the timing / lag. we played a private game with a group of friends who are all pretty equal players, and in every one of the 10 games we played you could tell one team had a clear advantage in timing, and simply always sank the first shots in. all the situations looked different in the killcam than they did from my screen when I was killed. I don't know if its the hosting player's entire team that has the advantage or what.

core tdm has newer scrubs, hardcore vice versa. you must prestige once and unlock pro perks. I think the game is super easy to play, but you have know every single map like the back of your hand as well as spots that people camp.

The first strike maps also have to be played a bit different.

I've prestiged and use pro perks, but play mostly core (domination and ground war).

I don't think its a matter of being good enough as I used to be able to rank high (first or top 3) in almost all games I played in, regardless of the other players being beginners or higher prestige, but around the time of the last update this changed notably. I will take a beating even in lower level (non or low presitge players) because of what seems like lag, and half the time I'm put into games with almost only prestige 5-15 players. this was a very sudden change and I'm sure the noobs didn't suddenly dissappear.

I'm pretty sure in MW2 the game pairing seemed to take prestige level and experience into the equation, after resetting the game data I was suddenly in notably lower level games even though I was prestige. not sure if its the same case with BO.
