  1. What do you think the chances are of Apple releasing a larger Nano anytime soon?

I've been wanting to purchase a new mp3 player for ages but I've held on to see what Apple came up with and I'm still wavering.

If they'd released a 16gb Nano I'd have been sold, in fact I was really surprised they didn't but I guess that they might of felt it would take sales away from the Touch?

This was some shit... Flooded streets...

Looks like my post in the other thread was deleted so I'll try again:

Dude, I respect the fact that you actually wear your sneakers, rather than just baby them.

  3. Does it come without the glossy finish over the screen?

According to Engadget, "New iMac will come in two sizes: 20-inch display, and 24-inch display. Both will be glossy. Customers say they love glossy displays."

This really puzzles me. Why would you want an annoyingly reflective screen?

I mean I know it's supposed to be all sleek and modern and shiny but surely functionality should come first?

edit: Just to be clear, I still really want one.

  4. Thanks for the tips, bud, but I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you here. All of the looks you posted looking pretty fucking gay to me. I think chinos look fresh sagged and stacked or rolled/cuffed a little.

Please allow me to use SuFu's very own TragicBliss.

I will second this and offer Selegna as another example.

The colour looks a little nicer on the Uniqlo's but it'd be unfair to judge it just from the photographs, so I will say that though I really like the detailling on the Gaps, I can't stand those flap pockets.

Hopefully Uniqlo will expand thier fledgling online service (or I'll get a chance to go to London).

Good thread Poly, it'd be nice to see more review/comparison type stuff around, like not just where can I buy and how much, but was it value for money once you bought it etc.

  5. ^^ if you switch the dunks to some low key canvas or leather sneaks instead, that would be really nice.

No way man, beater dunks ftw.

Though if the dunks were all crispy and new, I'd agree with superBobo.

Looks really sloppy to me Josephr... wrinkled pants, I can't really tell from this angle, but the shirt kinda looks like a box on you. Are the shoes dirty?

I think it looks fine but maybe Thorns is right and the trousers could do with pressing/ironing.

Oh, and Josephr, I love your avatar.

  6. Speaking of old skate brands, what the fuck ever happened to droors? They were the shit back in the day.

I think they were bought out by Globe International, which is when Droors and DC (as in the shoe company) parted ways.

  7. ^^^^^^^^

And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire...

England you are a genius, would rep you if I could.

  8. Wooh my bad I typed threadless when I meant threaded. Sorry.

Eric if you've got a pipe cutter and you feel confident, then I'd say go for it. You just have to make sure you leave at least 2-5mm between the top of the steerer and the top of your stem.

If I was you I'd leave room to chuck in a spacer or two under your stem, just in case you cut it too short (in which case you'd be screwed).

  9. What's a steering tube? Like, the stem? Just shove that bitch down.

Sounds like Eric has an aheadset rather than a threadless headset (ie a quill steam). The tube sticking up is his steerer tube.

You could cut it yorself but unless you're absolutely sure you can get it striahgt and even, I'd drop into your local shop and ask them to do it for you.

    Edit:

4 inches sounds a little excessive.

  10. The imaginatively named pedal spanner, it's just a reinforced 15mm spanner. If -when the bike was assembled- the mechanic neglected to grease the threads on the pedal spindle then getting them off may be a nightmare.

If this is the case, take the crank off the bike and make a triangle out of the spanner and crank arm then stamp on the pedal spindle and it should come undone.

They're also a little bit thinner than a normal spanner. This only really makes a difference with flat pedals (and only then if the bodies are screwed right in up to the cranks) but often a standard size spanner is a few mm too big to fit in there (just enough to make you scream in frustration).

That was until I wen to Focus/Do It All and managed to buy a whole set of skinny metric and imperial spanners for the price of one Pedros/Park pedal spanner.

  11. there are some beautiful bikes in here.

I don't know if my bike is welcome here but i'll show you anyway.

It's more for skatepark use and street riding, than general cruising.

From the dropouts and seat tube junction I'm going to say it's a DMR?
