the first article was dumb!
the second one was good though. hey denim bar i'm glad you're in VA...DC sux! i've seen your store in passing but haven't visited yet, too bad you're not here in clarendon for lazy people like myself

um. you're mixing two styles that are opposite. you have some random emo chick doing some emo pose. then you have these stars which are more pop/bape/supreme dunk style. so i can't see either one of those people wanting a shirt like this. also the stars + emo girl combo is extremely girly, maybe you should try skulls lol
on the bright side (ha) most people have ridiculously poor taste so i'm sure you could sell it.
on a related note, i like pictures of women a lot, and i like clothes a lot. but i don't understand wearing shirts with pictures of women on them. you gonna stare at your chest all day?
i should get paid for this

so are there any US stores selling those japanese (right?) styles that rajio has shown us?
it's bad enough that i'm thinking about dropping $2000+ on a jacket ha....i dunno if i can stomach going to japan just for that but hopping on the train to nyc would be a little less frivolous lllllllol

yo what's up with that ninja hood jacket????????????????
djrajio has the leather jacket game on lock!!
that WJM (?) one is crackkkkkkkkkkkk! must-cop-status!
damn i saw some of their other jackets after googling, they look awesome. is there anywhere in the US that sells these kind of jackets/clothes or do i have to move to japan?

Quote: I was voted most likely to land in jail
is this supposed to impress me? fyi landing in jail is a bad thing. getting voted most likely to land in jail is even worse because it shows that you are probably a huge poser.
renting a tux is a good move. it's unlikely that you will have much need to wear one after graduating, so buying doesn't make much sense.

"what do you do if your girlfriend isn't interested in clothes?"
this is probably a sign that you are too interested in clothes. i can't imagine a girl that isn't somewhat interested in clothes though, just count yourself lucky that she doesnt babble about them

my first post isn't showing so i'll just add it here, that's how helpful i am...
the whole point of wearing a tuxedo is adhering to tradition. trying to "innovate" on it is a trashy move and should not be attempted by infrequent tux wearers. the suit is black. it has shawl or peak lapels, piping on the legs etc. the shirt is white. a bow tie completes the look. anything else and you might as well be wearing gucci print and jordans.
about matching: you could wear a brown tie/cummerbund (vest is a no no). i think black/white/brown would look good so long as the brown is a light shade. better yet, keep the tie/cummerbund black, and wear some light brown silk knot cufflinks or studs for your shirt. if you're really into the matching your date idea, you could try matching one of the above to something else like the color of her eyes.
dont wear sneakers lest people mistake you for a badass rebel.
also
to the guy thinking of wearing a gray suit: no. wear the tux, you will like it.
to the original poster who is worried about looking sleek: the tuxedo looks sleek by design. if you are young and sleek you will look like it.

ok here are two shots of the tie i saw. from what i can tell it's a purple paisley pattern with some light blue. i will be severely impressed if you know where i can get a similar tie! bonus pts if you can ID the movie based on these cropped photos hehe

leaders is tight but your parents may not be down for visiting south side chicago just to buy clothes for you...a lot of their stuff is available online too
your best bet is to ask them to look around michigan ave and that other street that intersects it at the north end. you can cop some nice generic or super eurotrashy clothes from those depending on your steez + your parents wont have to see how grimey chicago is
ps chicago sux

is there such a thing as custom tie makers? i saw some nice ties in a classic movie the other day. i'd like to find some similar ties, but the effort it would take to hunt down a specific tie would kill me. id rather show someone a picture and have them make one...does something like this exist? also im not looking for custom-yet-crappy

ok so i noticed that my selection of pants is sort of repetitive...jeans, jeans, jeans. nothing wrong with jeans and i have good ones but im looking to add some more variety to my wardrobe.
problem is im spoiled with these nice jeans and i dont know where to find pants of the same caliber...what brands etc should i look for?
oh yea im looking for casual stuff + i cant get down with no tight tight brokeback steez
thx

ok ok im bound to get some "what your jeans don't cost $3000 and take 20 months to wear in? ah ha ha!" replies but i wonder what your expert thoughts on "lightweight jeans" are?
ive seen them in lame-o magazines like GQ before and i was thinking of getting some for the summer. does this make me a denim barbarian + are there some that you would recommend? although i probably wont find them around DC bleh
