  1. i called both the barney's in la and new york and they didn't seem to know what i was talking about. they both asked for the syle number, but i don't know how to get the style number if no one at any of these stores knows what i'm talking about. any suggestions?

  2. i called the prada flagship and the guy i talked to had no idea what was going on. but i think i'll try again.

and of course i'll get the blue blouson; it's possibly the most amazing jacket i've ever seen.

anyone know of any other options besides the prada store?

  3. Hey. I've been trying forever to find one of these jackets:

or something along those lines. i live in atlanta and have virtually no access to any mainline prada; here, it's just all lame linea rossa stuff. are there any websites that carry these jackets? are there any stores i could maybe call to get more information on them? i tried calling the prada flagship in soho, but they weren't very helpful.

  4. so as prom is approaching, i'm trying to find things to wear that are unique and not cheap-looking. i'm looking for a bow tie along the lines of lanvin-- something kind of floppy and more casual-- or maybe something very structured and chic like the dior homme ones i've seen recently. the problem is that i can't find anything like this anywhere. can you suggest any websites that might have something along these lines? it obviously doesn't have to be designer, since saving money is always a good thing. also, what would you wear to go along with it-- cumberbund or vest?

  5. I second the recommendation of wish. it's not the greatest store i've ever been to, but it definitely is one of the best in atlanta. and they do have great shoes. it's too bad there aren't any places here to get henrik vibskov or raf simons, though; i don't understand why it's that difficult to have at least one good boutique.

  6. i am in desperate need of a new pair of jeans, but i can't decide what to get. i was thinking about ksubis. i like the look of them a lot, but i'm not quite sure about the quality. i was also thinking of rag and bones (the rb16 model), but i'm not really sure how the fit would be on them. i know that the quality would be great, but i'm looking for a fit similar to the ksubis or something along the lines of dior homme 19cm japanese denim. which do you think would be a better option? i know my size in ksubis, but i've never tried on rag and bones before. to give you a reference, i wear a 31 in the apc ns, and a 33 in basically all other brands.

  7. Okay, so I bought a pair of new cures and sized down 2 sizes. After wearing them for about a month just around my house (they're too tight to wear in public...), they're still reeeally tight. Is there any way to make them stretch more?

  8. top reason i HATE urban outfitters:

the people that shop there think they're sooo alternative and indie and different, when in fact, they are, bottom line, shopping at a chain store that carries mass-produced merchandise. i mean, i don't call a store that has a location in boise, idaho alternative or cool. i call it...over.

top reason i LOVE urban outfitters:

i can walk into a store and have plenty of people to make fun of. going to uo is a confidence booster, people! i can see lame emo-hipster-wannabe-alt tweens and just feel superb that i'm better than all those people.

  9. YAWN YAWN YAWN

It is good that the cuts are fuller than previous seasons, but I feel like this specific collection is completely overrated. Yes, many of the pieces look good, but they're not all that interesting. I don't really see many things and think to myself, "wow, how did he think of something so amazing?" as I do with other lines like Lanvin and Alexander McQueen.

Is it just me, or does Dior Homme get progressively more gay trash with each season? Thankfully Hedi's moving away from the infinitely played-out rocker glam look a little bit, but still... I mean, spiked hair? Who does that anymore!?

  10. I'm definitely a snob. And NO ONE at my school understands my clothes. I do live in Atlanta, after all. I get, "um, what's the point of that?" and "why are you wearing that?" a lot, in reference to my favorite cardigans, marc jacobs tux shirts, etc. honestly, though, it's not a bad thing to be a fashion snob. i mean, people need to be criticized sometimes. it is NOT okay for people to walk around wearing trashy suburbia clothing and think they're hot shit.

you know what is the ultimate test to see if you're a snob? the way you feel when a really unstylish person compliments something you're wearing. to me, that is the lowest of the low. me=snob.
