definitely definitely go to the new museum. on the bowery. awesome.

alain mikli is awesome.
so is anglo american.
cutler and gross is more generic and hipster-ish, but still cool.

they're a really pale grey.
look great in person.

common projects all the way. the first ones look like they're shit quality.

what charles was wearing a day not today.
please don't try so hard. the pose, as well as the clothes.

this is one of the most subtle, yet best outfits i've seen in a long time on superfuture. the fit of the pants is spot on. and, in addition, you managed to make a white t-shirt look really stylish, which is something that's very hard to do.

simple, yet still really stylish. good job.

Fuck, I totally fucked up on names, I was thinking about Sid Mashburn's. As for Drew Lewis I was very unimpressed too. Their APC buy was a joke, as well as the CP buy. Hoping they'll do better for F/W but I don't have any expectations.
i am in complete agreement over drew lewis.
i actually really like sid mashburn a lot. atlanta desperately needed a store like that. it strikes a perfect balance between young and old-- while it carries cool younger brands (apc, tretorn), it still maintains a level of sophistication that an uptight buckhead dad would want.

mixed opinions the black and gold cape thing is prety cool would have to try it on though and the hood with the grey hood loks ok but other than that it looks like a faild vibskov tbh.
yeah, it definitely does look like failed vibskov. the label looks like it's trying to take vibskov's prints and mix it with bernard willhelm's silhouettes, but it ends up just looking like a half-ass imitation.

Which Messenger bag if any?
neither. messenger bags just seem very early-2000's-queer-eye-for-the-straight-guy. at least those kinds do. i'd go for a cool rustic leather backpack instead.

after my dads handmedown gshock (circa 95') broke... i want a new one
or (silver)
they are about the same price
i'd say silver timex. although they all look a little urban-outfitters-esque.

I've always thought that Edmond's style is very suited to his physique...
well, the thigh of the jean looks fine, but i think the thick rolled cuffs combined with the chunky boots makes his leg line very wide.

in my opinion, the thing you want to be most careful with is the price range of the clothes. for example, band of outsiders is an all around good brand, and its look can appeal to a wide range of people, but the prices scare people away. thus, you don't want to alienate your customer by carrying a lot of brands that are significantly more than they're willing to pay.
my suggestion is to carry brands in attainable price ranges. or, in better words, carry mostly reasonably priced clothes, and save just a little room for labels that might not move as quickly, yet will provide your store with a good reputation.
for example, you could get some basics from brands like ymc, and then carry some crazy phillip lim shit that might not move too quickly, yet will still cater to an in-the-know customer.

Yeah, both are Moscot; top ones are Nebb, and bottom ones are Zelig.
Want them both! But my insurance only covers one pair of lenses a year.
have you handled the moscots in person? i went to the store on the lower east side and was not impressed. quality is sub-par.
for a similar aesthetic and much better quality, go for anglo american glasses.

judging from the size of your torso, you are not fat. why do you make yourself look like you are by wearing those ill-fitting jeans and chunky boots?

Drew Lewis is pretty good store... One of the better ones in the area.. Yeah, they carry NS and some Cords, but that's about it for APC. They carry Alden and a lot of high-end dress-ish stuff.
i went to drew lewis about 2 months ago-- it's just alright. too much modern amusement and other fake-nerd-prep stuff. and too little band of outsiders. rag and bone selection was good, though.
heard they had common projects, but they were all out when i went there.
wish and barney's co-op are better imo.

how does no one agree with me about icarus' look?
no one thinks the combination of all the elements (mustache, slightly ironic haircut, oxford shirt buttoned all the way, cuffed jeans) looks in any way contrived?

well, i think the idea of the look is a good one. it's just carried to an extreme that makes it look very trying-too-hard.
