Still have both. As far as shrinkage, probably some shrinkage left, but not sure how much. Maybe an inch or so?

I understand that Kiya is working on a commission arrangement with Flathead that is based on the number of times he posts here, but I still don't understand why people can't just try to be helpful and answer the question posed or else stfu.
Sugar Cane has made quite a few similar western shirts: light cotton in a variety of plaids. Maybe look on Hinoya or Earthmarket or one of the other sites with a ton of Sugar Cane shirts? This one seems similar, but not quite the same: http://item.rakuten.co.jp/earthmarket/sc23018/
That style of plaid is usually called a shadow plaid or ombre plaid. You might take a look at the Rockmount Shadow Plaid western shirts here: http://www.rockmount.com/shirts/plaids.asp
Hope that was helpful.

I have used Cultizm in the past and never had a problem. Had a sizing issue with some of the 37 LVC and he let me return and shipped a smaller pair out ASAP--free shipping on both!
You pay the VAT and get free shipping or you don't pay the VAT and do pay the shipping. What is so hard to understand about that?
If you can find LVC cheaper, then buy elsewhere. And quit being such a gd baby!

Thrift store find. Based on the tag and the design, this sweatshirt is probably from the late thirties or early forties. Huge ribbing, double v--this is what Loopwheeler and the other repro makers are copying. I wish it fit me.

Dejan sent out an email earlier this week. Check toward the end of the '07 thread. These guys have good pictures of what is coming for '08:

Thrift store finds.
Check out the shifter mod and the irons; great for wood floors:
Bought these at $2 a pair at the mormon thrift store. They had a cart full, and these were the ones in my size. Military surplus, unworn and made sometime in the 1970s by the Addison Shoe co. Steel toes and leather lined. I think these were made for the Air Force, but not sure. They sort of remind me of the shoes mailmen wear. I have been wearing the pair on the left:

Belts
in superdenim
I have an insane number of thriftstore belts and buckles. I live in fear that people I know will find out how many I have. First picture is all sterling buckles. I only ever wear the four on the left. All the belts are thrift store except the four basket weave which are made by Vogt.
Miscellaneous thrift store belts. The ugly shiny ones in the middle are alligator. I wear the first and third from the top quite a bit.

Any idea about the chronology of the Nathaniel Turk Labels? I got this for free when I was working at a clothing bank about 15 years ago. I didn't know what it was then; just thought it was a cool shirt.

what size shoe do you usually wear? im interested in these....
These don't fit me. The result of a miscommunication with an ex-girlfriend. I normally wear a 9.5 or 9E, depending on the brand. In Alden Indy's I wear a size 9D. These probably fit like a 10E or 10.5E of another brand, but the alden last is a bit long. These are just too big for me.
I hope that helps.

I love the HBT and they look like they have a great vintage cut. Can't wait for that website.

This is all rumor and BS--Hinoya put my credit card through on Oct. 21.

There is a Japanese site that has zippers with roundabout dates that I have bookmarked on a different computer--I will see if I can get it later today. Also, the vintage leather jacket forum has discussions about this occasionally. The early Talons have the name "Hookless" inscribed on the pull. But the grommet fastener and that deco zipper pull are definitely 30s and 40s. Of course, the jacket could have been made in the fifties with older zippers or the zipper could have been replaced, but judging from the condition of the jacket, that seems extremely doubtful.
