  1. let me just say i was probably one of those people who didnt like ipod and wanted an alternative, but one day an offer came buy so i bought a 2nd hand 1st gen nano. ive loved ipods and Apple products ever since.

Ipods are most likely the best mp3 players out there. After getting my nano i hacked it so it can play Videos and Gameboy which just enhanced my ipod experiance although i dont play gameboy and i dont play videos that often. despite some of the major flaws with some of the ipods (the black nano's scratch as easy as a cd and the battery life decreases with time) they are still one of the best players on the market although price wise they are still 'up' there.

oh yeah question: are the sony md discs rewritable? or do i have to buy a new cd everytime i wanta new playlist.

  2. if this is something you think that is funny or if you think this is a hoax, you should be ashamed of yourself. i can guarantee if you say that in public, people are going to kick your ass. on top of that, this is the prime reason why men are labeled as arrogant jackasses and you are the leading cause of it all, so next time you look in a mirror, think how much it would hurt to have your eyes gouge out and your tongue sheared off, cause quite frankly, i would do so.

why are you on a fashion/shopping forum?

  3. yes shopping in australia is poo, lucky we have the internet.

anyone know of good melbourne sales if there any on? when do sales usually start ?

anyone been to assin in melbourne? its got a lot of niche mraket brands dior, yohji etc.. last time i checked raw diors were $500 = 400usd. i think the americans on this board gets them for 200usd?

  4. oh yeah just to let people know fake dior homme jeans have been around, among other types of their clothing. a few months back when i went to china i came accross a store that was selling the wax jeans with the holes featured around the luster era which i would of liked to buy even if they were fake. they looked pretty decent but some parts of the jean were really poorly put together.

munkeyboi have a look at ur belt loops, are they strongly stitched like a pair of your other jeans? flimsy belt loops may indicate fakes, but from what i can see in the pics they may be real, but cant be for sure.

not sure fake raw diors are being produced yet even though they are the are the simplest to produce compared to destroyed waxed jeans.

  5. haha ^

questions regarding making more - yeah i think ill do some more projects, mainly for my self. still kinda self learning to step up my quality. dont think ill ever make a full scale thing where i can sell to others, but its a good idea.

ordo- hmm sewing prob around 4-6 hours with breaks in between. but the pattern making which was tedious took a couple shots, i think ive made 3 different patterns? still dont know how the patterns fully work. all i know is that the crotch part has to be 90degress so it doesnt cause a wedgie (ande said this somewhere) other than that i dont know any other rules about pattern making

  6. made the patterns by just tracing and cutting mostly guess work. kinda just looked at a ot of pictures and guessed 'this' would be smaller than that and 'that' would be bigger than this. cant be stuffed going to the fabric store to find rivets

highstreet- im using some juki and the loops (meaning belt loops?) are just pretty simple, cut out long strip about 3cmX10cm then sew then cut

  7. The manly act of making jeans.

Decided not to be a lazy board member and post. A few days i go i completed a pair of jeans, i knew next to nothing about sewing and zero about pattern making. i purchased the selvedge denim off "someone" who clearly has just about as much free time as me haha.

i have never made any pieces of clothing before so i kinda looked at a lot of pictures on the internet, notably dior jeans and ande whalls(who makes it look as easy as eating cake) pictorial which i learnt heaps from. i kinda based my cut around slim jims, dh21cm and 501's.

Overall i think i did an 'ok' job, not professional craftsmanship. some very minor glitchs and mistakes. it doesnt look too home made. my advice is be very very patient and carefull if your going to make a pair.

has 6 pockets button fly and is selvedge denim. a very standard jean minor pleather detailing and no pocket stitching

the fitting: id wanted a slender but loose fit, i was quite lucky it turned out how i wanted. i sort of based the back part pattern on slimjims and the front on diors.

the denim is really stiff, i think its made in china so its not the best loomed stuff. not really expecting it to fade very nicely, ive been wearing for about 24 hours and the creases havnt settled in properly.

    so there you go....

    ps. loading/edting images sucks

and props to tg. and ande whall who does this stuff professionally, his jeans are worth every cent, if it wasnt for your pictorial i would be in a jean making limbo.

  8. can i ask what compels someone to collect 130 sneakers, then sell them, is it forums like hype beast?

and then they find another forum like sufu and sort of convert to their aesthetics, whatever that means.

yeah id sell them or give them to a kid, brighten up their day.
