  1. i kinda agree with simon on this...

what i see around here that i would consider vintage fades are basically very faded wranglers/rustlers/levis that you can tell have been both worn and washed alot and as a result have defined combs and whiskers but an overall washed-out look and lack of depth, maybe not quite to the same degree as those APCs, but still they look alot more like those APCs than like sidney's flatheads for example.

What sufuers achieve id say is more of an exaggeration of a "vintage fade" and not what you would actually expect to see on some middle-aged construction worker walking around wal-mart.

But, yeah, those do look to have lost a whole lot of indigo for only 3 washes, you'd have to wash other jeans alot more frequently to achieve the same look. But APCs arent all that dark to start out with.

  2. 5. Unlisted black leather oxfords. size 9. Leather upper on a rubber sole. These obviously arent real high-quality shoes but i think they have a good shape and profile and are very simple. tan rubber sole is painted black on the side, but the black is rubbing off to show tan rubber a little, hopefully this can be seen in the pics. I'm getting rid of these because i just ordered a pair of similarly shaped black oxfords from barney's.

  3. 1. Converse x Varvatos Jack Purcells limited edition, sz. 9

I wore these a couple times and i like them but i also have all black suede apc sneakers and the black apc x nikes and i find myself wearing either of those over these.

Kind of a snake-skin look to the leather. Thes are in excellent condition as can be seen in the pics and have a very thick and cushiony insole. Still have original box/tags/shoe bag Retailed at $145.

Bought this last winter and wore it maybe 2 or 3 times. It is thick and insulated and pretty warm, more of a wieght for winter than fall or spring.

In very good condition, some minor scuffing on toe and very minor indigo stains at top of ankle collar. Outsole is clean and shows virtually no wear, as can be seen in the pics.

  4. jwied, jacket looks a little big? Maybe it's just that you're wearing it with a tshirt.

yeah, i thought it could stand to be a tad smaller, but its a euro size 46 (US size 36). i dont know if acne even makes a smaller size than that.

  5. i actually just got the Aktie from AW07 in black wool on clearance from eluxury and its fits pretty well. A touch longer than i expected and more padded in the shoulders than i would like but still fits better than most blazers do on me...

i think they used to cut their blazers shorter in seasons past.

  6. Acne has been doing that same one-button blazer in different fabrics every season for the last few years... i think theyve changed the cut a little at least once, but they always call it the Aktie jacket.

  7. ^^ or mabe its just that everybody is returning the ugly elasticized collar ones that the are sending us when we order the work boots, and they are going back into invertory as the wrong item again...

  8. I def got the wrong ones ... scrunchy tops.

Back to searching for something close to cdiems or

just get the butteros for $500 (+ fees) off rakuten. It's

just hard paying that much when Barney's had 'em for $200.

i got the wrong ones too, but i had ordered the brown suede work boots and got those ugly srunchy top ones instead... you think after so many people got the wrong item and returned them Barney's would have sorted it out by now.. their webstore is by far the worst example of e-commerce i have dealt with.

  9. just got some helmut langs off ebay in the mail today.

i'm happy with the fit, a somewhat slim straight cut, could be a little slimmer from the knee down though. also less sag than the other jeans i wear, but they'll probably end up stretching out with wear.
