    Suminando:

The term Suminando refers to our black indigo series of clothing. Often we will offer products in both indigo blue as well as a black version.

In Japanese, sumi refers to black ink used in traditional calligraphy, while nando refers to some sort of storage shed void of light.

First, the yarn is dyed with indigo, then with black. When these garments are new, they appear to be a normal black. As you wear and wash your item, over time, the garment will have blue undertones, as the piece begins to crock or bleed.

Care instructions for Suminando products are similar to that of our indigo-dyed products.

  2. Hey Kumo, does it fit tight on ur thigh? I personally have a pretty big thigh, and i usually wear 30-31 waist jean, what size would you recommend?

i have to say these fit me pretty damn good. at the thigh it's too tight but not loose either. i used to biked daily for 4 years and my thigh are kind of big too.. if you wear 30-31 in european jean sizes (ie. dior/apc/diesel etc.) these are pro'lly a bit small for you. but do check measurements please.

  3. never heard of these indian ink sorahikos. look like black (suminando) overdyed sorahiko which are dipped 16 times in indigo than once in a black dye giving them a very dark blue/black look. sure these aren't those???

i think you are right... the name was 墨納戸空比古 for these, it does translate to sumi-nando sorahiko. i just didn't know these had a english name

  4. i take two 40min. busride to school everyday and i have to say canalphones are a essential. i have the e2c's and e3c's. really looking forward to upgrade to some e4's. got a alessandro MS-1 at home too, they are sweet.

    anyways,

these are on the way to my maibox.

  5. ^ it's the faux fur lined, the one $2000 was the destroyed version w/ sterling zippers.

and i have to agree with you. i was temped to buy their washable leather shirt jacket, but with this kind of pricetag i might as well get cdiem ones. i don't know but i think the two brands are related somehow.

  6. coldrice is right - it's lined with fur in a nylon removable jacket lining and cotton lining in the shell.

i dont know about the sizes, i just checked the measurements on zozo. maybe i am too thin, for tshirts sz s fits perfect.

  7. thanks everybody, the jacket is by wjk, style m66 fine cotton tweed. it's pro'lly the best fitting jkt i ever bought.. the sleeves are cut curved and all the way slim to the armpit.

and pg2g: the 45rpm's are indian ink dyed sorahiko.. i bought a pair of 28's and a pair of 30's. putting the 30's on supermarket soon.

    i got a sz 29.

took the photos when i just got them, a little bit tight. after 2 days the waist streched about 1.5 in, fits perfect now. the leg length looked short too, but i now wear them at the hips, so it's not too short.
