  1. i second the vote for thomas, due in part to his creativity

about that 3 size thing for those boots, how does that make any sense?!?

that means most of the people who buy them will have ill-fitting boots, like mouko, and they probably had to shell out quite a bit for them...

bit strange if you ask me, guess its part of the marketing mystique

anyhoo, today was another balmy -20 montreal day so

    mo851 russian fur hat

    military issue camo goretex jacket

acne hoody (love this, will have to get some pics up)

    levi's 47 repros

    adidas sambas

  2. thomas-

    lovin my my-14s

definitely the highlight of the mihara line i think, i also have the my-12 in orange and blue, and don't like them at all. never did really, so if any one wants a pair....

got em in black with the green bottom, saw your advice from a post a while back and got a half-size down so they pretty well fit perfectly

great lowish profile, they're like a super version of my 5 dollar chinatown special kungfu slippers...

actually considering getting them in white too, they're so great.

    your colours?

witts-out of curiosity, was that belt ever functional?

  3. newham generals and wiley kat throw it down quite well

guess since the first grime i really encountered was virus syndicate, i'm partial to them

they have a flow that is missing in some other stuff like ruff squad

    but still good

thomas, if you're uploading, mind sending me some of your top tracks? tough to come by here

  4. thomas- nah man, like i said before i'm feeling your styles!

plus, as corny as it sounds, if I may quote Bambi's mother, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"

i guess, you could then interpret me thinking your outfit is shit if i don't post anything about it...

but thats obviously not the case

    anyways, today I am wearing

vintage leather bomber with fur collar

    franklin and marshall zip hoodie

    striped v-neck sweater

    nudie rrds

    my new puma MY-14s

  5. my experience has been that TO has been pretty dissapointing in recent years.

i usually wait until i get back to montreal for school, i've usually missed the beginning cause i get back after new years, but i still find it better than TO

if anyone wants to prove me wrong, i'd be very interested in knowing where to go!!

  6. i know, i totally missed the boat on the sale too.

i just bought a pair of dry black cheap mondays off an ST member for 50 bucks.

not much cheaper than online, but still a abit cheaper and i don't have to wait a month for shipping.

    wax

i got there a couple days after it had started, and i also missed any size other than 36 in the dry helmut langs

the ones i got were the washed ones, but i did manage to score a pair of the helmut lang selvage turnups off ebay the other day.

was thinking of hitting the simon's in laval, any idea what labels they carry?

  7. i'm probably too "green" to really give useful advice, only sold 3 items so far...

i ddin't do anything special, took a few photos, added things like "no apc, big e, selvage" etc etc if my item was in a similar market range.

don't think there are that many secret tips and tricks, if you've got a hot item it'll sell for lots, if you don't then you're out of luck i guess.

what i've never understood is why if a 0 feedback bidder emails you, that makes it alright??

someone with experience want to answer that?

  8. mine came out quite soft after the soak, wasn't get much creasing at all.

decided to go for the starch, much better now.

maybe i'll get some nice wear marks now that i have to go and scrub the bathtub of this rust coloured grime...

  9. guizmar,

acne jeans i have only ever come across at Boutique Uand I on st. laurent.

they have great stuff there, but not cheap (of course). the acne's i saw that they had were 225 and up, can't remember the models they have, sorry.

nudie is sold at simon's downtown, but really small selection. if i remeber correctly, only the RR greycast, and black straight slim. check them out anyways, they're having their designer sale on now.

nudie is also at Holt's, influence-u. i was talking to a salesguy at Industria boutique in cours mont-royal, and he said that they will be carrying alot of nudie stuff in the new season.

    good luck

  10. ah!

mouko, i've been wondering for awhile how you managed to supplement your purchases, even considered outright asking you.

    it all comes together now.

i JUST started selling off some of my older stuff on ebay, made a few bucks so far icon_smile_cool.gif

  11. hey guizmar

i'm also from montreal, and was also interested in buying from zoovillage.

unfortuantely, they dont ship to canada, at all.

if you find out otherwise, or find some way to bypass this, let me know!!

    nairb49

  12. ^^ hahaha

i had no idea until about last week either, but maybe thats cause i'm from canada and live in the igloo that is montreal

i've been checking it out, i don't know if florida ever caught on to this, but a few years back "jungle" was pretty big, and this reminds me a bit of that. a bigger focus on the MCs though.

    surely someone knows the difference.

    nairb49

  13. yeah, but with shipping etc

plus, that figure was negotiable and i'm currently trying to trade sizes with someone who is charging me that much.

but thanks for being a secret shopper for everyone.

  14. hey milspex

as far as i can see from the photos, those look decently legit.

looking at the sample from samplekickz, the definition or creasing lines in the leather look almost as if they've been enhanced, or drawn in...

and the ebay photo seems to have pretty decent creasing, especially since the flash would have flooded them out but you can still see them.

i'm no expert by any means at all, just comparing the two photos with your info, so just my two cents.

    good luck
