    Love the colors. Just beautiful.

  3. I think it would be just too silly to make two different divisions. So please don't.

wow, I had never even considered that a possibility...

wouldn't it be neat if there were different divisions? I think the best prize would have to go to the open category, but maybe a smaller one for weekend warriors? And maybe we could set up a rule so that you could only participate in one category at a time to prevent cheating (it would be hard to prove that you were a true weekend warrior, so I guess you'd have to volunteer to be in that category and accept the smaller prize)

  4. are the jeans sold by this seller on ebay legit/authentics? here is his auctions: http://stores.ebay.com/mixstreet_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ0QQftidZ2QQtZkm

the jeans looks good in the pics and want to buy a pair but not sure of their authenticity.

    please help thanks!

Those look shady. Possibly some are factory seconds, some are legit. And some look absolutely fake. For example that 1944 jeans seems to be without selvage and with too bright patch.

  5. Hi, Got a pair of Japanese selvage Duffer jeans I bought at a sample sale some time ago.

On reflection, I think they're a bit too wide in the Knee/hem for my liking. Does anyone know if it's possible/easy for a good quality tailor to take apart the inner seam, reshape the leg slightly and put things together again in the same format it came, or would specialist equpment be needed to replicate the stitching.

    Many thanks

    Martin

For a good tailor this shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure that the tailor really understands what you want, cause possibilities are that he ends up cutting off the selvage seam.

  6. looking for an answer to help in making some choices, thanks
Looking a quality pair of jeans that is a tad less slim than dior 19cm MIJs

Which is slimmer, samurai s710xx or skull 5010xx?

also, any other similar fits that would fit my bill that are worth looking into?

I am looking for something slimmer than a slim straight leg like xx005s, but not quite as slim as dior 19cm japans, to clarify

    thanks

You should get 5010xx, they'll be perfect for you.

  7. Selvage denim was bubbling along nicely in UK and London in particular in mid to late 90s. Interstate in Covent Garden were slanging Denime, Lee and the Edwin Nashvilles that I got in '97 (date on tag)

those were the days... japanese repros were big thing especially with 50's rockabilly crowd... and bwitched of course.
