  1. if there is a 32 evisu group, this is not where it will be discussed because it is not part of this project. adsurgo has nothing to do with this... and should not have been given, or be giving out any details about our project. take it up with him.

whoopsss.. i meant to tell everyone to PM me. not trying to take over your thread.

  2. from gordon...

And with Evisu they offered us to customize our jean. We can choose the selvage

color, stitch color, denim (we should stick with #1), custom hand painted gulls

or whatever on the pockets, and a custom patch. The thing is though it could

take up to 6 weeks for this.

this was the idea that was thrown around taht i was talkign about. the 6 weeks to make is why i said the party would probably be later than expected. time shouldnt be too much of a big deal though. you guys get to be a part of a 1 of 1 jean world tour. this could be like... denim history??????

  3. damn... seems like adsurgo not only knows more than gordon about this, but is taking the liberty to talk to people on our behalf.

i was with chad yesterday. i help out at the evisu office. sorry if im intruding on anything. im just excited about it.

  4. EDIT: im supposed to never say never.

there is a real cool idea right now that might end up happening. im not allowed to talk about it until other people agree on it though. :P im not even a part of this contest and im soooooooooooo excited and antsy.

if a 32 group were to happen as well... would anyone be down for it?

  5. sooooo many jean companies do white jeans now. everything from abercrombie to marc jacobs. if you look, you will find some.

i have no idea if dior has red jeans buttttttt look into these brands that i know do....

    tsubi/ ksubi.

    julian red

    april 77

    AG

APC has a dark red/ wine color

    filippa k?

    polo does or did

i think cloak had a darker red

off the top of my head thats all i can think of. maybe ill find some more and posst them.

  6. EV started as a different type of jean to stop the usual counterfeited ones. i guess because they were a little different and harder to copy.

it actually helped in cracking down on the fake pairs but the kept the line. its supposed to be a decent jean at a good price point with an alright wash. the jeans are selling, but not as well as theyd like them too. theyre working on different types and designs of wash and hopefully in the next few seasons theyll be putting out a good, cheap, nice washed jean.

o and about the fit. ive modeled all 3 cuts of the EV line and they arent bad at all. evisu actually has amazing cuts. they may not be appealing to some people but they are definitely giving off the exact look the designer is trying to give.

CHAD POST SOME GOOD PICS OF THE FITS. I DONT HAVE ANY.

  7. I saw somebody in what looked suspiciously like a pair of contest sammies in a grocery store in Allentown two days ago... who was it?!?!

allentown where? im in a touring band so i couldve been wearing them in a random grocery store recently. this weekend i was in conn, mass and penn.

  8. i was thinking maybe a shirt would look awesome (obviously not a tee).

the fabric isnt too thick or heavy but i beat it would look good worn out. the one wash swatch has random spots on threads that lost more indigo than the rest and it looks cool surrounded by the gold.

  9. the influence is definitely there. not saying that sufu is responsible for a large portion of sales or manufacturing but I believe that our ideas and interests definitely have potential to start and end trends, or atleast have some sort of effect on them. a TON of people know a lot more about selvage and japanese denim because of this board. sufu is all over google search.

there are definitely a ton of people and companies who are INFLUENCED by sufu.

  10. thanks, guys. the artist mentioned that it'll probably be another four to five hours, so come october we're going to try and finish it off in one go. It was meant to be finished in Milan but the jetlag got to me and I could only manage three hours.

It's done with a regular tattoo machine, but Shige does work really fast.

Yeah, I love the colour, though now it's more of a dark green, he did a fair amount of purple during the second session. I have no idea what colours it's going to end up, but I trust his judgement :D

you have any more up to date pictures?

  11. got this buttero boots yesterday...

    butteroboots.jpg

    butt1.jpg

color is dark grey...very distressed looking...fine soft leather...you can play with these boots...you can put the flaps inside your jeans...or let the flaps rolled down...you can also do different styles with the straps...

    how much were these?

  12. wow. thats amazing. i cant wait to see the finished work. i have a phoenix on my chest that im really happy with but after seeing that im super jealous

  13. i just got a good idea for the log book. maybe the cover could be the customs stamps cut out and pasted on and in the book we could write what we did and stuff in the jeans on certain days... i.e.

january 7 - wore them sledding and fell in mud. JERSEY

january 16 - went down south for a few days and went mountain biking JERSEY

january 21 - jeans arrive in HONG KONG

january 29 - hangover and vomit. jeans needed to be washed HONG KONG
