  1. the stuff from the new boris record is pretty tame. amplifier worship, however, is balls out awesome. so good.

the first time i saw lightning bolt, the drummer climbed to the top of the bass cabinets/amplifiers and jumped down on the his seat and continued playing. it was a religoius experience.

  2. i saw growing twice and they blew me away twice. maybe they had an off night?

multiples is the whitman record you're referring to, i think. he's been doing guitar + computer stuff recently and it's fantastic. he actually played a show with tony conrad and charlamagne palestine in belgium which is amazing.

  3. growing is also a fantastic band. super heavy and melodic. the first boris/merzbow collab wasn't so hot. but i'm excited to hear sun baked snow cave. is it on a torrent? keith fullerton whitman is also a fantastic experimental musician.

  5. yeah boris is totally sick. they're going to be playing ny on oct 17th, which i'll probably have to go to, depending on if i have to fly out to ny for work.

by the way, i'm putting out a record by philip samartzis called soft and loud, limited to 500. i'm excited.
