how effective is hand washing/soaking for actually cleaning the jeans. As much as I've tried to break in raw denim my germophobeness always overcomes my denimnerdness and I end up washing after a relatively short period of time. Will I lose any less dye by handwashing versus washing inside out on the gentle cycle?

I don't like his outfit either, but who are you to say how he should dress or what his limits are. It's as simple as different tastes; he's entitled to his as you are yours. definitely not lvc, I actually do not remember if they were stf's or not. I had picked them up on Ebay and flipped them. They are in the evoloution of jeans thread. There is a thread somewhere in Superdenim of someone who had worn theirs for two months and starched them often (If I remember correctly) who looked really good. I think his photos had expired but if you pm him he might be nice enough to email you the pictures.

I think it's a great idea. I find alot of the non-fashion and non-flamewar dialogue that derails threads really interesting sometimes. I don't know how the owners would feel about it as it probably would not benefit them at all.
