  1. If you want them and hemmed and want them to look how they do now, you'll have to have them attatch the original hem. I know denim doctors in LA does it for about 20 dollars. I'm almost certain they take phone orders if you don't live near them, but you might also be able to find someone to do it locally.

  2. Removing the tags and slapping on tags from an urban brand and selling them out of a reputable location at 30x the original price would be an interesting experiment...

Hmmm, ambient mellow/ happy indie rock.....my specialty

    Ambient mellow electronic:

    Bombay Dub Orchestra

    Psapp Instrumentals

Requiem for a Dream (Remixed) sdtk.

    "Soft" indie/alternative rock:

Bright Eyes - 'Digital Ash in a Digital Urn' particularly

    Elliott Smith

David Gray (very underrated in the U.S.)

Bloc Party - Silent Alarm / Silent Alarm (Remix) album

Saves the Day - 'Through Being Cool' 'Stay What You Are' 'In Reverie' albums

    - STD is definitely my all-time favorite poppier-emo/rock band

I have about 225 GBs of music on my home computer (I work in the music biz)........and am in the same predicament as LanceP; you get to the point where you have so much shit that you can't even remember who your favorite artists are.....I will update when I get home.

If you dig the Elliot Smith, try Sufjan Stevens and Mason Jennings--mason jennings being the superior of the three.

  6. There have been some pretty good threads regarding belts recently. At least one is in Superdenim if I'm not mistaken. You should check them out.

anyone know who makes a similar boot? or if this is modelled after a specific vintage style, and if so, what would be a good way to search for it?

  8. how effective is hand washing/soaking for actually cleaning the jeans. As much as I've tried to break in raw denim my germophobeness always overcomes my denimnerdness and I end up washing after a relatively short period of time. Will I lose any less dye by handwashing versus washing inside out on the gentle cycle?

I don't like his outfit either, but who are you to say how he should dress or what his limits are. It's as simple as different tastes; he's entitled to his as you are yours. I don't think minimal postcounts should be used to discredit anyone's opinions either, but don't you think its a little fucked up to join a forum and immediately start insulting someone and try to make it seem justified because you use rhetoric and psychology? (sorry for the loaded question) You'll probably enjoy this forum a whole lot more if you chill the fuck out, ask questions when your curious, contribute when you can, and participate in the discussions that interest you and avoid the ones you don't.

    sorry, bad timing!

  12. definitely not lvc, I actually do not remember if they were stf's or not. I had picked them up on Ebay and flipped them. They are in the evoloution of jeans thread. There is a thread somewhere in Superdenim of someone who had worn theirs for two months and starched them often (If I remember correctly) who looked really good. I think his photos had expired but if you pm him he might be nice enough to email you the pictures.

Good Luck and please post pics after a couple of months...

  14. I think it's a great idea. I find alot of the non-fashion and non-flamewar dialogue that derails threads really interesting sometimes. I don't know how the owners would feel about it as it probably would not benefit them at all.
