JDM, what you seem to be forgetting is that while you're sitting $144 down at the moment, if he refunds and never gets that letter, he's sitting $144 AND a backpack down = $288 overall. If you're not willing to trust him to refund when he gets that letter (which I see no reason why you're being so uptight about sending), why on earth should he trust you to send that letter? From the way you've been acting, I really wouldn't be surprised if you just jet as soon as you get the refund
Also, you're seriously impatient - have you ever considered that maybe at this moment in time he doesn't have those funds in his paypal? I mean, if someone bought something from me and I sent it out insured, I wouldn't wait until finding out whether it's been delivered before spending it. I have no idea what communications the two of you are having through e-mail, and maybe your argument would have more weight if you posted actual e-mail extracts instead of all this he-says she-says

Dude, have you sent a letter confirming non-receipt yet? Assuming that this is a USPS error (which I suspect since minya says he's good people), if he refunds you without the letter, he has no guarantee you'll ever send him the letter, leaving him out of pocket. He's stated clearly he will refund as soon as you send a letter. You don't really have anything to lose, just send out the letter, if you get a refund then it's all good, if you don't you're in the same position you're in now
Just a thought

Supreme have made many a full zip, "Bape" style..Quote:
Yeah come to think of it that would make more sense. I can't see Supreme making a "Bape" type full-zip.Quote:The rainbow polo and panelled crew are dope, but doubt I'll buy them.
And I'm pretty sure "Full zip" doesn't mean the same thing as the Bape full zip (thankfully).
Full Zip is used to distinguish from pullovers that just have zippers at the top (half zip, quarter zip).

Find the Canadian company that handle Supreme's hoodie account, and you should be set
Then tell me who they are so I can order blanks for myself

All joking aside (and props to haptronic for making me laugh for about 5 minutes straight), if you subtract the tie and chose which one of those jeans and shoes to wear, that's a good look

I'd recommend going to Paris as your starting point, Eurostar + 5 nights hotel in a nice central hotel cost my girlfriend and I £350... Which would leave you a lot more spending money. Otherwise, you can take trains in any direction from there, European rail travel is a lot quicker than UK

Nike
I'm sorry kids, I love my Nikes to death, but when we're at the point where they can release the most horrific, eye-killing colourway and all the kids scream "OMGZ HOTT SHOES!!! THOSE COLOURS ARE FRESH", there's something wrong with the world. And lately, for every nice colourway they've done, there have been about 10 that are horrific

I don't put them on straight out of the cold soak - hang dry so that they're no longer dripping, then let them hang for a little while before putting them on damp. It's best to wait for a day when you're out and about and not likely to sit around too much
And, I'm already getting honeycomb ridges forming =)

Hrm... wouldn't cold soaking a pair of unwashed but heavily creased jeans fuck up the wearing in? Because the honeycombs would appear in new places, surely?

It got dissed by Ja and Foe, so unless it's been touched up it's under about 120938210983 throwups

How I look at quality:
Ask yourself these questions -
1. How does the fabric feel? Get to know what good quality examples of the material in question feel like, which can often be done by just going into high-end stores and, well, touching the material. I don't quite know how to describe it, but "quality" has a certain feel - t-shirts feel the right kind of "soft", dry denim feels solid, nothing is scratchy/itchy
2. Is it the right thickness? Consider what the product is designed for - if you're looking at winter hoodies, is the material nice and thick, and quite dense? If you're looking at light garments for warm weather, high quality materials will be superlight
3. Does it look well constructed? Appearances can often be deceptive, but usually it's easy to see if the stitching is regular and even, no frays and generally the whole thing looks like it's gonna hold together for the next 10 years. Top quality things should look like they'll last you a very, very long time
4. Is the colour rich? For the most part, high quality stuff has a certain depth to the colour. Just compare black t-shirts: good black t-shirts will be *black*, when put next to a low quality t-shirt the low quality one will often look faded!
5. Is it cut well? A really well cut garment will feel and look as if it just "belongs" on you. No unintentional bulges or creases. Part of this is also to do with getting the right size, and of course on your frame, but for the most part really high quality stuff seems to sit right on almost anyone
There's a lot more you can look for, and for the most part this is simply common sense, but once you've handled or owned a couple of truly wellmade garments you start to get an feel for the quality of things. People seem to really believe that the more you pay, the better the quality, but usually the best things (with the exception of superspecialist clothing) are in the midrange - the inflated price is usually due to brand or hype
Hope this has helped, I sometimes wish I hadn't learnt about quality because I now refuse to buy stuff that isn't really nice quality-wise, even if I love the garment =) Also, for the most part high-quality stuff is just out of my price bracket, which is why I haven't bought anything new for about 6 months!

The h is silentQuote:How do you pronounce the "homme" in Dior Homme? Also, is Costume National just pronounced as is??

So, if you're going for French with an American/English accent, it's "om" (short o as in "Tom")
Or for the more authentic accent, "oemme" (think "erm", but without the r sound)

I'm from England, so I could well be wrong in the eyes of Americans, but on our little island:
Indigo --> IN-digo (stress on the IN, g pronounced hard as in "dig")
Denim --> DEH-nihm
And, Comme Des Garcons, well, as a native French speaker I know it's a butchering, but in an English/American accent it comes out something like com-deh-gahr-sohn

If you read his first post, it clearly says
"Would these things be worth eBaying? How much do you think I could get?"
Not taking sides, but people need to learn to read
