  1. I made a mistake on sizing down on the Nandos when they are One Wash. I hope I could have them exchanged.

As expected the indigo is beautiful, deep and very dark. The red selvedge works well and gives it a striking apperance. As it is, they look nice to wear. The fit is perfect except in the waist which feel more like a size 32 (than the 33 tagged). This dyeing of the weft/warp thing is very innovative.

  2. i found the pictures of the distressed nandoxnando's i tried on and posted a picture of when they first came out.

getting my nandos today. would i have a hard time putting creases and honeycombs on them? the fading is really really nice on those.

  3. I'm a slub fanatic and I have both the AI-001 and the Oni Shoai. Their fabric is quite identical but there are many differences that make the Shoai's tops for me. First, the Ai-001 is one wash while the Shoai is raw and although both are about 18oz heavy, the Shoai's fabric feels heavier. It also creates better creasing and the fit is just fabulous (I notice the difference even with the Blues eventhough they're supposed to be the same cut). The indigo that is in the process of being rubbed in the heel part just gets concentrated on certain parts creating a sort of cakey, sticky surface. As all natural indigo dyed jeans, it's hard to produce fading.

I'm a BS United fan and although the AI-001 are nice, very special jeans, the Shoais takes the cake in most departments. In fairness, I haven't really worn tha PBJ's that long to have a really good progress report on them bit fitwise the Oni's are also better.

I tried to get my hand on the 868s but they ran out of my size. If anything, I would like to find out how the dye's quality fair vs. natural indigo with the kind of slub it has.

Slubby denim are really interesting when it fades and all the jeans above are from me, the cream of the crop (I haven't seen the KMW though).

  4. Errr yeah, same sentiment from me two, everytime you post em I feel I ought to wear mine more, gotta get em hemmed and start living in em. Amazing pics poly, I feel those are on par with those "amazing black faded jeans" that keep being posted! Poly your great x

same here. got to have mine hemmed to a 34 inseam first before i get serious on breaking them in. i have some creases and honeycombs however but nothing to brag about. great work poly, considering you have the shoai's and the samurai contest jeans to work on.

the edo ai's are making progress though but i'm not sure if it's worth washing already. natural indigo is just soooo stubborn...
