  1. Trust me, we tried to carry it two years ago and they said no. I wanted it because i personally love the line.

Then their retailers started dropping off and word is they're looking for a retailer in our area, but shit's too late, their G-Line is smear doodoo flies, it's only the JP line that's good.

if they don't pick selfedge as a retailer in SF, they gotta pickup The Darkside Initiative. it took yearssss (back in the "Recon" days) for them to get that stocklist for Neighborhood. seems like a good candidate for visvim to deal with.

  2. Major late pass here, but I just gotta reiterate on what peeps have been sayin, EDC 2009 was TOO DOPE.

I was originally only planning on going Friday, peer pressured into going both days last minute; wallet rape FTL. Boys Noize was probably the best act for Friday but too bad I couldn't see him much cuz my buddies dragged me to the mainstage for Oakenfold :(. Shinichi Osawa was so fucking awesome though and he definitely lived up to my expectations. Foamo, Fake Blood and CPUClub had some pretty solid sets so I was pretty satisfied. ATB was actually very good; I thoroughly enjoyed his set.

Saturday was a different story though; different vibe, way more people on drugs, wayyyy more of a clusterfuck, etc. I dunno about you guys but Major Lazer was kinda a let down :/. Le Castle Vania tore shit up though; at this point I was rolling bawls and he happens to drop a ridiculously sick set that blows me through the roof. I was orgasming in pleasure when he dropped Phantom pt 2; crowd exploded at that point. Simian Mobile Disco also did not disappoint; I just wish more of my friends liked electro which is obviously the superior form of electronic dance music whilst on drugs.

I definitely give thumbs up to Kaskade cuz that set went perfectly with my roll come-up. Other than that Groove Armada and Markus Schulz were pretty decent aswell. I give EDC 2009 a 9/10 rating, but I did enjoy day 1 more cuz of that immense electro line-up + ATB.

  3. shieettt EDC is imminent. I'm only going on Friday though cuz that electro line-up is too good to miss. Too bad everybody I know is going on Saturday or both days; I've only heard of a few other people going on just Friday.

but dammnnnnn I really want to go on Saturday now. i'd be willing to pay the $ for saturday, but I got some uncertain conditions. will I be too tired to go on saturday? should I roll both days? if i do roll both days, should just take one pill + smoke some weed on friday and then roll balls on saturday? is it a bad idea to roll 2 days in a row (even though I've heard of friends that have done that at UMF)?

    ahhhhhhh what to do

  4. new pick-up, sorry for the shitty cell phone pic

    24wwlqd.jpg

    mollies

    white butterfly pokeballs

    brown M&M pokeballs

    roll balls

who's going to EDC? Friday is FTW; less people, better electro music. hollllaaaaa

Real talk, this shit is fucking DOPE. I just drove back from riverside to SD and pumped the bass loud as fuck. was speeding the whole way and basically got back in a hour lol. my favorite out of your sets. AWESOME, moar plz.

  6. This is outstanding as fuck, love the subtle color gradient on the outerwear pieces. Joy division only works nicely on the cape though. Overall this collection is 10/10 for me. Any stocklists in LA or just NYC?

Looks like I'll have to wait until I go to the UC store in Taipei to fondle these pieces in person. Preparing an insane wallet rape.

  7. like how chill are you talking?

get everything by Tensnake and Air France immediately. Todd Terje's edits are great too, Studio, The Juan Maclean, Dølle Jølle, Aeroplane. i could throw some ultimate summer jams in zip if you want. i love doing that kind of shit.

thanks for the suggestions; I was looking for something akin to the vibe of the original Walking on a Dream song. something that has a relaxed vibe. tunes that sound similar to that would be awesome.

but i also down for this:

shazam, breakbot chill? or more seafoam balearic / nu-disco

I'd be so down if you'd upload a nice mix in a zip. :)

    thankssss

  8. Yes! Treasure fingers is exactly what i was looking for. I remember playing this remix last week while we were spinning a beach event and it fit so perfectly with the setting.

i've been playing that Treasure Fingers remix of Walking on a Dream all day, I like it marginally better than the danger remix.

anybody wanna recommend some tunes for a chillax summer beach vibe?

Empire of the Sun is in there for sure; I want to compile a sick set that would be perfect for chilling on a nice summer afternoon.

also, how did Deadmau5 do and how was the crowd? broskis?

  9. you guys checked out Mille?

    http://discodust.blogspot.com/2009/05/mille.html

shit is extremely Danger-ish, i'm really feelin it

here's a zip of his tracks

    download

    PLUS FUCKIN REP DUUUUU

this shit blew my mind for reals. yes, sounds like danger but I love danger and this is some fresh shit.

btw, check out this danger remix if you haven't heard it already:

Empire of the Sun - Walking On A Dream (Danger "Racing" Remix)

  10. i saw that Girl Talk was going to be head lining my school's annual music festival, I was whatev about it. that shit seriously exceeded expectations; managed to get backstage and spent about an hour and a half dancing crazy on stage in front thousands of people. that was the biggest mosh pit in a college crowd I've ever seen. EPIC

anyway, anybody know what's good in SD within the next month?

  11. I was at audiotistic and I have to say it was one of the best events I've been to that insmoniac's put on. I ended up chillin at the hip hop stage for a bit and caught part of ztrips set and he was dropping some dubstep which I thought was tight. I'm sure he can't do that at most of his shows. I ended up in the trance room for most of the night because above & beyond is my guilty pleasure when it comes to trance but I'm glad to hear the electro stage was going off. I wanted to see villains but like usual, we got there way too late and I was kinda disappointed by chromeo at coachella but it sounds like they've stepped their game up. I'll probably see you all at hard summer, if not the friday of edc

Ahh I regret missing z-trip but I did think Above and Beyond's set was sorely disappointing. They came on at like 1:15, I left within 30 minutes (to go see Armand van Helden) cuz that shit was straight up putting me to sleep. I feel just a little embarrassed to say this but A&B can't top Armin van Buuren at Together at One 2009; that was the best trance set ever. despite what yall say, Audiotistic this year was DOPE.

Friday's EDC lineup looks dope. I'm super stoked to see Shinichi Osawa cuz I missed out on EDC last year. Also down to see le castle vania again as he threw down huge both of the times I've seen him live. Never seen Boys Noize live, hope they live up to the hype. Thievery Corporation? should be interesting...

  12. Quick noob question:

is the Eva Solo viable for making single portions of coffee at a time? I want to get one but i'm probably only going to be making around 10 oz of brewed coffee at a time, but this thing makes a liter.

Also, how noticible is fresh ground coffee compared to preground? I don't really feel like spending $300 for a grinder right now.

  13. sebastien tellier - kilometer (aeroplane italo remix)

la roux - quicksand (mad decent remix)

    juan maclean - one day

ps. slept on some of these.

heard those and they are dope. but I prefer the A-trak remix of Kilometer; it just works better.

    Anyway, anybody go to Audiotistic??

Holy shitttt Chromeo fucking killed it with their live performance; crowd went batshit insane when they dropped Fancy Footwork. SOOO GOOD.

Le Castle Vania also tore shit up. His set was so dope with such bangers as Zero Machine, Rave is King, Deadly on a Mission, etc. Shit was fuckin ridiculous; he went crowd surfing mid-set. thanks for the free CD.

Last act of the night was Kill the Noise. Solid set of electro house dopeness. I was tired, rolled out, and leaning on the rail in the very front of the stage but still rocking out hard.

    EDC or Hard Summer anybody?
